2、or the application of 1.2 Classification.- Walkway coatings shall be of the following types, and shall be applied as specified% Type I - Coating, smooth (vithout grit) applied by a brush or spray, Type II - Coating, rough (with it) applied lq brush or spray, Type III - Matting (for use with liquid a

3、dhesive) applied with separate as specified (see 4.1). as specified (see 4.2r liquid adhesive (see 4.3). 2. Zinc chr-te, for Aircraft Use; MIL-C-8507 Application of CoatiIla. Wash Primer (Pretreatsent), for Met

5、als; MIL-C-85l4 Appl?cation of ._ Coating, Pretreatment, Snooth Plnieh, Spray Type (f or-Aircraft) MIL-P-8585 for the DeVilbiss MBC gun, a line air pressure of 30 psi, and a cup ppessure of 8 psi give good results. 6.4.2 Weight of coating.- The walkway shall be applied ln sufficient quantity to prod

6、uce a dry weight of from 15 to 20 ounces per square yard with the smooth coating, and 20 to 25 ounces per square yard with the rough coating. Whenthe material is applied by brush, it is suggested that not more than two coats be applied and allowed to dry. In spraying, the spray gun should be held co

7、mparatively close to the surface. 6.b.4 Successive coats.- Successive coats shall be applied in liberal quantities, brushing or spraying the walkway material out quickly on a relatively small area at a tim. Brushing or spraying over the same wet area after it has once been brushed out shall be avoid

PROCmURE WITS MA“I!ING - 7.2 Apphcatfon of material.- The surface to which the walkway matting material is to be applied shall be coated with two brush coats of adhesive conforlning to Specifi- cation MIL-A-992, Type III. Sufficient time shall be allowed for

9、the adhesive to dry after each coat.
