2、overs a panel-type of training aid to be used to demonstrate the principles of boi ler operation and show the arrangement of the main parts of an IM“ type boiler, used for generating superheated steam. .Center, as Device 29CC8B for Navy procurement (see 6.2). 2. 8、ections or deteriora- tion. . 3.1 Materi al s. - Materi al used shall be in accordance wi th MIL-T-23991 3.1.1 Plastics.- Plastics used shall be acrylic, or a plastic of equal 3.7 .I .l Cements.- Cements or solvents for joining plastic components shall be those cements recommended by the manufacture
9、r of the plastics and tested by the contractor as suitable to meet the construction and performance requirements of this speci fi cati on. 3.1.1.2 C6enting.- Cemented plastic joints shall be free of air bubbles and stress crazing and shall have the transparency of the original plastic throughout the
10、 joint. The contact surface of the component to be cemented shall be thoroughly softened by means of a solvent, so that a soft layer or cushion is produced on that surface and subsequent uniting and hardening will effect a strong homogeneous bond. require. speci fi c written approval of the procuri

13、MIL-T-82371 (TD) 3.1,2.2 Glue.- Glue used shall not be adversely affected by moisture, 3.1.3 Hardboard.- Hardboard shall be of the tempered variety, smooth 1 acquer or pa3 nt . on both sides, hard surfaced and moisture resistant for a paint finish. 16、ups II, III and IV in accordance with non- standard materials and parts requirements of MIL-T-23991, MIL-A-8625. - Paints used on acrylic surfaces shall be compatible with - : . : .- : .- .C - . .- - I 3,2 Design.- The design of the training aid shall consist of a display panel , suitable for instru
17、cting students in the arrangement, heat balance and nomenclature of an M-type boiler for the generation of superheated steam. of heat in the boiler, a threeydimensional reduced scale stylized mockup of a section of the boiler, and a photograph showing a rendered perspective section through. the oper
18、ati onal boi 1 er. . 3.2.1 The display panel shall show a bar type diagram of the utilization 3.2.2 Power su 1 - The training aid shall operate from an external power source + of I 5 volts, 60 Hz. 3.2,2.1 The training aid shall be provided with a 20-foot, 3-wire. cable with plugs on each end, confor
19、ming to W-C-596, a cable receptacle, a main switch with red indicator light, and main 115-volt fusing. ,Stowage provisions for this cable shall be made on the inside of one of the rear doors of the training aid. 3.2.2.2 The lighting system of the display panel shall be powered from a 24 volts source
20、 supplied by a built-in step-down transformer. The 24-volt system shall be separately fused. 3.2.2.3 All wiring shall be identified by a color or number code. All wiring shall be neatly bundled and supported. A wiring diagram, enclosed in clear plastic by a pressure and heat sealing process, shall b
21、e attached to the inside of one of the rear doors of the training aid. 22、f the training afd. The design shall bfi such as to result in reduced requ-irements for adjustments and alinement, and low frequency of failure, while providing for simp1 ified maintenance. Replacement of parts shall be made easy, and accessibility for making adjustments or alinements or both shall
23、be provided. the training aid shall be constructed such that no fixed part, assemblies or subassemblies shall bind or become undesirably free, Degradation . shall not be caused in the mechanical or electrical performance stipulated for the training aid because of shipment, normal handling, or storag
