SCOPE 1.1 Pu ose. The purpose of this standard is to- provide a compendium of st
18、an a-?ra ar 1z methods to determine the intrinsic physical, chemical and interface properties of a solid propellant or propell+nts proposed for use in tactical rockets, missiles, aircrew escape systems, or auxiliary devices. These methods are listed in TABLE I, 1.2 Intended use. This standard is int
19、ended for use in development programs for new propellants or in new applications research for which the existing data base is incomplete. The data generated shall be the basis for (a) design selection between several alternatives, and (b) generating specification requirements and quality assurance p
20、ro- visions for future procurement. L lication. This standard shall be applied to the extent necessary to esta lish the required data base for design selection and to determine any hazardous characteristics of the formulation and ingredients as required by FED-STD-313. It should be noted that all th
21、e tests in TABLE I may not be applicable to every propellant. This standard shall, therefore, be tailored by the procuring activity via the cQntract to require those tests and test conditions necessary to meet program objectives and to satisfy DoD directives (refer to Sampling, Examination and Testi
