1、MIL-J-7823E(AS AMENDMENT 3 AMENDMENT 2 24 June 1976 MILITARY SPECIFICATION JACKETS, FLYERS INTERMEDIATE, TYPE G-1 This amendment forms a part of Military Specification MIL-J-7823E(AS dated 15 January 1971, and is approved for us-e by the Naval Air Systems Command, Department of the Navy and is avail

2、able for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. Page 2 2.1 Under Specifications delete the following: FEDERAL KK- L- 1 70 - Leather, Kidskin, or Goatskin, Chrome Tanned MILITARY MIL-L-1 5040 - Label S, Garment (Noven, Rayon) 2.1 Under Specifications add the following: FEDE

3、RAL KK-L-162 - Leather, Cattlehide, Chrome Tanned for Gloves, Garme ts and Equi page DDD-L-20 - Label; for Clothing, Equipage and Tentage (General Use) PPP-T-60 - Tape, Packaging, Waterproof MILITARY MIL-C-43718 - Cloth, TW and Rayon 2.1 Under Standards add the fol lowing: FED-STD-595 - Colors ill,

The outershell of the jacket shall be fabricated from leather 2/64 to 3/64 inch thick, Type 1, Cl

5、ass 2 of KKL-L-162 except the minimum value for stitch tearing strength shall be 17.0 pounds. The leather shall be dyed brown and the color shall match color chip number 20040 as reflected in Federal Standard Number 595 for colors. The cattlehide leather may have a goatskin grain finish.“ Page 4 3.2

6、.2.2.1 Outer: After the word “black“ add the following: lor from cloth conforming to MIL-C-43718, type 1, color black.“ 3.2.3, 2nd sentence - delete and substitute: “The mouton shall be dyed brown and approximate the color of the leather outershell when inspected as specified in 4.5.1.“ Page 5 3.2.9

7、 Slide Fasteners. In the fourth sentence delete “The slide fastener tapes shall be nylon“ and substitute “The slide fastener tape fabric shall be as specified in paragraph 3.3.11 of V-F-106. Page 9 3.7 Delete the entire paragraph and substitute: “3.7 Label - A combination, identification and size la

8、bel shall be centered (2 112 inch) below the hanger and sewn on all four sides to only the lining. The label shall conform to Type 1, Classes 1 and 2 of DDD-L-20. The label shall contain the following information: JACKET, FLYERS, INTERMEDIATE, TYPE G-1 SIZE NAME OF MANUFACTURER NSN CONTRACT NUMBER“
