REQUIREMENTS 3.1 General. The central IFF system shall be in accordance with 3.1.1 Performance Reauirements. The

17、central IFF system shall be capable of operating independently of interconnection with other radar or electronic systems except to utilize existing display methods as appropriate. The purpose of this development is to provide an electronic system with the capability to expand or reduce the number of

18、 functional units to permit an adaptability to match the different functional aspects of the ship in which thesystem is installed. Therefore, there will be certain basic elements common to all system configurations while additional specialized elements will be used specifically for tactically differ

19、ent and more complex system configurations. required to meet various shipboard system configurations. The control functions shall remain essentially the same, but the readout and display data shall be obtained more from filtering out the unwanted data rather than from generating readout and display from chosen data. 3.4 Desiqn Requirements. 3.4.1 General Desian. The equip

45、ment8 shall operate compatibly with the AIMS IFF systems of all services.
