SCOPE 1.1 This specification covers 500-kw., 450-volt, 60-cycle alternating cur- rent (a. c.) steam turbine generator sets for Naval shipboard use. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

18、 The debign shhlbbased on the use of Navy symbol 2190 TEP oil, 3.2.12 The trip throttle valve requirements shall apply except that, when the trip throttle valve has functioned to trip the turbine, it shall be necessary to reset the actuating devices to their normal operating position and to turn the
19、 throttle valve handwheel to the closed position before steam may again be admitted to the turbine. The valve shall normally be held open by oil pressure from an external source. When the unit is subjected to the shock shown on figure 1, the overspeed trip mechanism shall not function to trip the th
20、rottle valve. 3.2.13 Thermometers for measuring temperatures other than those specified in 3.1.12 herein, shall be in accordance with Specification MIL-T-17244, or type II of Specification MIL-T- 19474. 3.2.14 In addition to provision for the use of a portable hand tachometer, a speed indicating dev
21、ice conforming to type IC/EFB of Specification MIL-T- 16049 and an indicating meter shall be provided with the indicating meter mounted on the turbine gageboard. The meter shall cover a range of speed from O r. p. m. to 11 percent above rated speed. valves, and nozzle chambers shall be tested hydros
22、tatically after assembly to a pressure of 1275 p.
