(FOR NAVAL SHIPBOARD USE) 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. - This specification covers carbon steel pipe flanges, 150 pounds per square inc
2、h (p.s.i.), W.S.P. 1.2 Classification. - Flanges shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2): Type A - Plain (slip-on). Type B - Welding neck. Type C - Flat-faced (slip-on). Type D - Flat faced welding neck. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 The following documents, of the issue in effect on d
3、ate of invitation for bids, -form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein: SPECIFICATIONS MILITARY MIL-V-3 - Valves, Fittings and Flanges (Except for Systems Indicated herein); Packaging of. STANDARDS FEDERAL FED-STD-151 - Metals; Test Methods. MILITARY MIL-STD-105 - Sampling Pro
4、cedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes. (Copies of specifications, standards, drawings and publications required by contractors in connec- tion with specific procurement functions should be obtained from the procuring activity or as directed by the contracting officer.) 2.2 Other publicatio
5、ns. - The following document forms a part of this specification to the extent speci- fied herein. Unless otheryise indicated, the issue in effect on date of invitation for bids shall apply. REQULREMENTS 3.1 Material. - Flanges shall be forged or machined from steel, manufactured by the open hearth, crucible, or electric furnace process. 3.2 Chemical composition and physical prop- er
7、ties. - Flanges shall be normalized and, after normalizing, shall conform to the chemical com- position and-physical properties shown in tables I and It. 3.2.1 The necessary machining operations shall 3.3 Dimensions and tolerances. - 3.3.1 Dimensions.- Thedimensions of the flanges i be performed aft
