SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specif

18、) . 2.3 Order of precedence. In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited herein, the text of this specification shall take precedence. 3. REQUIREMENTS. 3.1 Specification sheets. The individual item requirements shall be as specified herein and in accord

19、ance with the applicable specification sheets. In the event of any conflict between requirements of this specification and the specification sheets, the latter shall govern. 3.2 First article, When specified in the contract, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.3 and 6.3).

20、3.3 Chaff material. Dipoles shall meet the dimens

21、ion and composition requirements of the applicable specification sheets. coated filaments shall have dc resistivity of less than 10 ohms per linear inch . Dipoles composed of a 3.3.2 Coating. When required by the applicable specification sheet, a slip coating shall be applied to the chaff material t

The formulation of the slip coating shall be approved by the proc

23、uring activity prior to use as part of the first article inspection procedure or quality conformance test procedure if first article is not required (see 6.2.2). 3.4 Design and construction. Each chaff package, (see 6.4.4) including chaff and all parts, assemblies, packing, and packaging; shall conf

24、orm to all the requirements of this specification and applicable specification sheet for design, construction, and workmanship, except as otherwise specified in the contract (see 6.2.1). Confiquration control shall be maintained in accordance with DoD-STD-480. . - 3.4.1 Nomenclature and identificati

25、on marking. Nomencl ature and identification marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129, MIL-STD-130, a and as specified herein. this specification shall consist of beaming Kraft or tagboard outer sleeves 1 oaded with chaff (ref1 ective) components and necessary non-chaff components as specifie

26、d in the applicable specification sheet. 3.4.2 Item definition. The chaff countermeasures packages covered by 3.4.3 Physical characteristics. The chaff packages shall be functionally ComDatible with the AN/ALE-1 and AN/ALE-2 dispensers. Neither the operational reliability of either dispenser nor the

27、 effectiveness of the chaff shall be degraded when these packages are used with the chaff dispensers. 3.5 Standard conditions. The following conditions shall be used to establish normal performance characteristics under standard conditions. a. Temperature Room ambient (25 f 10C) b. Altitude c. Vibra

The chaff package shall operate as required under any of the environmental

29、 service conditions or combinations of these conditions specified in MIL-STD-810 as modified herein. Tolerances shall be in accordance with the general requirements of MIL-STD-810. Un1 ess otherwi se specified herein, val ues set forth to establish the specified performance apply to performance unde

30、r both standard and extreme service conditions. When reduced performance under extreme conditions is acceptable, tolerances or values setting forth accept- able variations from the performance under standard conditions will be specified herein. 3.7 Performance requi rements . 3.7.1 Performance chara

31、cteristics. Performance characteristics shall be in accordanc and shall be of the material ,-dimensions, quality, nd quantity specified in the applicable specification sheet. 3,8.2 Chaff acka e. A chaff package shall consist of an outer sleeve (see 6.4.11 e containing components as specified in 3.8.

32、1. 3.82.1 Outer sleeve. The outer sleeve shall be constructed in accordance with DL 1050AS102 and this specification. sleeve shall be tan or natural. The burst strength of the outer sleeve shall be at least 91 pounds per square inch at standard atmospheric conditions, dete

34、rmined in accordance with ASTM D774-67. 3.8.2.1.1.3 Tab stren th. The outer sleeve material and perforations tabs (two on each sleeve) (see 6.4.12) shall hold when a weight of not less than 5 pounds is applied for 1 minute to one tape, and shall tear within 1 minute when a weight not greater than 15

35、 pounds is a plied to the tape. 47、cation sheet. 3.8.4.4 Metal 1 ic snap fasteners. Metal 1 ic snap fasteners chal 1 be used to splice the tail end of carrier tapes of one carton to the lead end of tapes of another carton. The fasteners shall be as specified in DL 1050AS102. I 3.8.5 Taped chaff packages. Loose tabs or damaged package

48、s shall be attached or replaced on the tape as shown in DL 1050AS102 utilizing a 1-by L 2-i nch doubl efaced adhesive pressure-sensi ti ve tape conformi ng to UU-T-91, Type II. Loose tabs or tabs of replaced packages shall be of such quality that the unit tabs shall tear along their perforations and

49、 not pull out from the tape when subjected to a normal stripping operation of the AN/ALE-2 type of dispensing machine, after subjection to the service conditions specified herein. When the adjustment of the taping machine or the quality of the assembly operation of attaching the packages to the first and second tapes is such that more than six retapes are performed in this manner on each tape within a carton of packages, or if more than three adjace
