This specification covers the requirements for the manufacture and acceptance of the CCU-l27/A Fire Extinguisher Cartridge, referred to herein as “cartridge“. 2. 15、 the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENS 3.1 First article. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.
16、2), a first article sample (see 6.3) of 36 cartridges conforming to DL 3205AS105 shall be produced using the same procedures and methods proposed for production. The sample shall be tested as specified in 4.2.1 (see table I). 3.2 Primary components. The ignition charge and the output charge are prim
17、ary components. Only one lot of each primary component shall be used in a cartridge lot. One primary lot may be used in more than one cartridge lot. 3.3 Cartridge production. The cartridges shall be manufactured in accordance with DL 3205AS105 and the documents listed thereon. Each production cartri
18、dge shall meet the requirements of 3.3.1 through 3.3.6 as outlined in table II. Failure of any cartridge to meet the requirements of table II shall result in rejection of that cartridge. 3.3.1 Visual inspection. Cartridges shall be free of the following defects: illegible, missing or inaccurate iden
19、tification markings, damaged or insufficient surface coatings, burrs, dents, sharp edges, or other defects which may prevent entry of the cartridge into the firing chamber, or affect the resistance of the cartridge to moisture. Each cartridge shall meet the requirements of 3.2, 3.5 and Drawing 3205A
20、S105. 3.3.2 Bridge circuit resistance. Each cartridges bridge circuit resistance shall be 1 .OO, l minutes at a pressure of 2 atmospheres absolute and venting with air for 10 ?:minutes or washed with dry nitrogen. The cartridges shall then be tested in a dry gas leak tester. Each cartridge shall mee
21、t the requirements of 3.3.4. 43.5 Insulation resistance test. The insulation resistance between the terminal stud and the cartridge body shall be measured by applying a potential of 100 f 5 VDC for a minimum of 60 seconds. Each cartridge shall meet the requirements of 3.3.5. 4.3.6 Dielectric strengt
22、h test. Dielectric strength shall be evaluated by applying 500 VDC or VAC for 60 $ seconds in accordance with the requirements of MIL-STD-202, Method 301. Each cartridge shall meet the requirements of 3.3.6. 43.7 Power current test. Power current shall be evaluated by conditioning the cartridge at +
23、200 f 5F for 4 hours minimum and then applying a direct current of not less than 1 ampere supplying a minimum of 1 watt from terminal stud to case for a period of S-izminutes. The test current shall be regulated to within 2 percent. Each cartridge shall meet the requirement of 3.4.1. 43.8 Static dis
24、charge. The cartridge shall be subjected to a static discharge test by being connected to a 500 f 5 percent picofarad capacitor charged to 25,000 f 500 volts and a 5,000 f 5 percent ohm resistor connected in a 500 microhenry total inductance series circuit.
