46、3.2 System characterizations. The IVCS shall be a shipboard voice dis- tribution system capable of providing both administrative and tactical communi- cations on a 24 hour basis. The IVCS shall provide computer controlled, auto- matic switching service (line-to-line, line-to-net, and line-to-externa

47、l interface connections), netting service, and subscriber service features to include but not be limited to the following: (a) Four-digit dialing. (b) Abbreviated addressing. (c) Preset conferencing. (d) Progressive conferencing. (e) Call hold. (f) Call forwarding. (g) Call transfer. 3.3 System conf

48、iguration. The IVCS shall accommodate the voice switching requirements of various ship classes providing switching services far 200 to 3200 switchable terminatfons. The IVCS is sized in terms of “terminations“ rather than “loops“, “trunks“, or “lines“. A loop is a single analog or digital channel be
