In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this docume

19、nt takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes appl i cabl e laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. When specified (see 6.21, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 6.4) in accordance with 4.4.

20、3.2 Desian and construction. The design and construction of the bomb shall be in accordance with the requirements specified herein and with the drawings and documents listed on DL 138091 or DL 4902393 (thermally protected), as appl i cabl e. 3.3 Explosive loadinq. Explosive loading shall be in accor

21、dance with Drawing 1380901 listed on DL 1380901 or Drawing 4902393 listed on DL 4902393 (thermal ly protected) , as appl i cabl e. 3.4 ExPlosive composition. The explosive composition used in loading the assembly shall be tritonal 80120 or H-6 explosive composition as specified by the acquiring acti

22、vity (see 6.2). 3.4.1 Tritonal (80120) explosive composition. Tri tonal (80120) explosive composition shall consi st of 80% 3% trinitrotoluene (TNT) and 20% 3% aluminum (see 4.6.2). 3.4.2 H-6 exPlosive cornPosition. H-6 explosive composition shall conform to the requirements of MIL-E-22267 (see 4.6.

23、2). 3.5 Wei qht of applied asphal ti c compound. The total weight of the asphaltic compound on the interior surfaces of the bomb assembly shall be in accordance with Drawing 1380901 or 4902393 (thermally protected), as applicable, when tested as specified in 4.5 and 4.6.3. 3.6 Radioaraphic examinati

24、on of the explosive charae, The loaded bomb shall be subjected to radiographic examination in accordance with 4.5 and 4.6.4. A shrinkage cavity will only be permitted when located more than 1.5 inches from the suspension lug area, and more than 6 inches from the nose fuze 1 i ner, and when not in co

25、ntact with the base fuze 1 iner. 3.7 Safety. The contractor shall observe the safety precautions of DOD 4145.26M as applicable. 3.8 Marki nq. Each bomb shall be marked as speci fi ed on Drawing 1380901 or 4902393 (thermal ly protected), as appl i cabl e. 3.9 Workmanship, All interior bomb surfaces r

26、equiring application of asphal tic compound shall be free of chips, dirt, oi 1, grease, rust, and other material before applying asphal ti c compound and before loading of explosive charge. Outer bomb skin and other surfaces shall be free of chips, dirt, rust, or other imperfections. All Interior su

27、rfaces of the bomb assembly shall be completely coated and shall be protected from contamination. 28、rious to any of the parts nor shall the parts be contaminated by the cleaning method. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, .the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (ex

29、aminations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified. in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use hi S own or any other faci li ties sui table for the performance of the i nspection requi rements specified herein, un1 ess disapproved by the Government. The Governmen

30、t reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1 ResRonsibilitv for compliance. All items shall meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The i

31、nspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not re1 ieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted t

32、o the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing operations, is an acceptable practice to ascertain conformance to requirements, however, this does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or act

33、ual, nor does it commi t the Government to accept defective material. 4.2 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection (see 4.4). b. Quality conformance inspection (see 4.5). 4.3 Inspection equipment, The inspectio

34、n equipment required to perform the examinations and tests prescribed in this specification shall be in accordance with gage and test equipment which has been reviewed or provided by an approved Government test faci li ty. 4.3.1 Inspection equipment data. Inspection equipment lists and detailed draw

35、ings for contractor designed inspection equipment shall be prepared and be available to the acquiring activity as specified in the contract or purchase order (see 4.3.2, 6.2, and 6.3). 4.3.2 Contractor desisned inspection equipment. When specified by the acquiring activity, contractor designed inspe

36、ction equipment shall be in accordance with 4.3.2.1 through 4.3.2.5. 4.3.2.1 InsRection equipment lists. Inspection equipment lists shall be . prepared by the contractor in accordance with DOD-D-1000 (see6.31, indtcating the avai labi 1 i ty of inspection equipment designs, the numbers .of drawings,

37、 or Federal Stock Numbers of existing equipment designs, or codes as indicted in 1 5 Licensed by Information Handling ServicesMIL-B-82548A 4.3.2.2. Design action required of the contractor is described in 4.3.2.3 and 4.3.24. The contractor will be required to prepare detailed drawings in accordance

38、with 4.3.2.4 for all the equipment coded as “Contractor Design.“ These contractor designs shall be approved by the Government prior to fabrication or procuring of the equipment. Designs shall be avai labl e for approval as specified in 4.3.2.5. 4.3.2.2 InsDection .equipment list codes. The inspectio

39、n equipment as defined in 4.3.2.3 and 4.3.2.4 will be designated by the following codes: CD - Contractor design on controlled contractor format or commercial equipment. DOD - Military design, mandatory for use. 4.3.2.3 Military desians. Military designs are reflected on detailed drawings which compl

40、etely depict al 1 the information necessary for the fabrication of the item of inspection equipment. The contractor need provide no design when a mi 1 i tary design i s. 1 i sted for an i tem of inspection equipment. Military designs fall into two basic classifications: mandatory (designated “DOD“)

41、and non-mandatory (indicated by drawing or Federal Stock Number). When an inspection equipment list references mandatory military designs, the contractor shall comply with and use these designs accordingly. The contractor may, however, in connection with non-mandatory designs and with the approval o

42、f the Government, design alternate inspection equipment or use . comparable commercial equipment to faci li tate hi S operations. Such contractor prepared designs or commercial equipment selections shall be approved by the Government prior to fabrication or procuring of the equipment. Designs shall

43、be available for. approval as specified in 4.3.2.5. 4.3.2.4 Contractor desians. Contractor designs are designs of inspection equipment for which the Government has assigned design responsi bi 1 i ty to the contractor. Contractor designs shall be supported by detailed drawings which depict al 1 the i

44、nformation necessary to completely fabricate, cal i brate, and operate an item of inspection equipment. This requires that the necessary views, dimensions, materials, finish, notes, operating, and calibration . instructions be properly depicted in accordance with approved practices to the extent tha

45、t further calculation or clarification will not be required. Unless otherwise specified, contractor designs may be developed on the format the contractor normal ly employs in hi S equipment design procedures provided such format reflects the detail and information specified above, subject to the fol

46、lowing controls: All available contractor designs shall conform to DOD-D-1000 (see 6.3). Legi bi 1 i ty and reproducibility shall permit conventional making of clearly understandable, high contrast reproductions. The contractor shall make available one copy of final designs as a rolled set. Designs

47、shall be submittedfor approval as specified in 4.3.2.5. 4.3.2.5 Availabilitv of contractor desiuns. Unless otherwise specified by this specification, all designs of equipment for inspection of defects classified as cri ti.cal and major shall be avai labl e for approval to the departmental agency as

48、designated by the contracting officer. All other de,signs of inspection equipment shall be approved by the Government agency administering the contract as directed by the contracting officer. Design review by the military should normal ly be accompli shed within one month after receipt. 4.3.3 Supply and maintenance. Supply and maintenance of the inspection equipment shall be in accordance with MIL-1-45607. 4.3.4 Calibration. The contractor shall have available a set of master gages, standards, and appropriate instruments for regularl-y scheduled calibrations of his acceptance inspection equipment. Records of
