The Mk 79 Mod 1 handling band and the Mk Ei1 Mod O handling band shall be fabricated and assembled in aceordance with ISL 1448526 and LU 484331 respectively. 3.3 Materiale. The detailed requirements for materials of the handling bands

12、are provided on LD 484331, UL i448529 and the drawings, specifications and standards listed thereon. 3.4 Holeting etrength on$ interface. The hoisting strength and interface of the handling bands wnen tested in accordance with 4.4 and 4.5 shall compiy with the requirements specified on the appropria

13、te DWLU including drawings and specifications listed therein. 3.5 Workmanship. The assembled handling bands shall be free from foreign matter, bonding, marking, and from burrs and sharp edges. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Reaponaibility for inagection. Unless otherwise specified in the contra

14、ct or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements examinations and tests! specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contrac- tor may use his own OF any other facilities suitable for the performance O th

15、e inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Qovernment. The Government resepves the right to perform any of tne inspections set forth in the specification where such rnspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. & 4.1.1

16、 Respongibility for compliance. All items shall meet all require- ments of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shali become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not r

17、elieve the contpactor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing operations, is an acceptable practice to ascertain conformance to requirements,

18、 however, this does. not authorize submission of defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to accept defective material. 4.2 Claaelfication of inspectione. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection (see

19、 4.3). b. Unless otherwise specified, all inspections shall be performed under the follo

20、wing conditions: a. Temperature: 70 i 20 OF. b. Al ti tude : normal ground. 4.4 Quality eonformanse inspection. Quality conformance inspection shall consist of the tests specified in table I. Measuring instruments sufficient to verify drawing tolerances shall be used. The procedures used for inspect

21、ion are at the option of the contractor provided ObJeative, documented evidence is maintained and made available upon request by the Bovernment. Failure to meet the requirements specified herein shall be cause for rejection of the handling bands. TABLE I. Quality conformance inspection. Mk 79 Mod 1

The handling bands shall withstand a static overload test of three times the safe working load (3 x SW1 for a period of 5 minutes for each test Specified in table I. The Government reserves the right to perform a $tatic overload t

23、est to failure. Any handling band which fails at a point less than the static design load (5 x SWL) shall be considered unacceptable. 5.1 Packing. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order tsee 6.21, each handling band shall be preserved in accordance with MIL- . B-116, Method III

24、 and individually packed into a wood box conforming to PPP-B- 621, Class I, Style 4, Grade E. 5,2 Mapking. 26、is intended for use with the Standard Missile hlk 12 and Mk 70 boosters. 6.2 Acquietion requiremonte. Acquisition documents must specify the following: a. Title, number and date of this specification. b. Issue of DODISS to be cited in the solicitation, and if required, the specific issue of individu

27、al documents referenced (see 2.1.1, and 2.1.2 J. 6.3 First artiple. When a first article inspection is required, the contracting officer should provide specafic guidance to offerors whether the itemta) should be a preproduction sample, a first artiele sample, a first production item, a sample select

28、ed from the first pfoduction items, a standard production atem from the contractors current inventoroy (see 3.1). The contracting officer should also include specific instructions in acquisition documents regarding arrangements for examinations, approval of first article test results, and dispositio

Invitations for bids should provide that the Uovernment reserves the right to waave the requirement for samples for first article inspection to those bidders offefing a product which has been previously acquired or tested by the Government, and that bidders offefing such product
