Abstract. This c

2、ommercial item description covers industrial type blower and vacuum cleaners intended primarily for cleaning and drying electric equipment. Blower and vacuum cleaners shall be of the following types: Type HV1 - High velocity, 115 Vac, 60 Hz. Type LV1 - Low velocity, 115 Vac, 60 Hz. Type MV1 - Medium

3、 velocity, 115 Vac, 60 Hz. Type MV2 - Medium velocity, 220 Vac, 50 Hz. Salient characteristics. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. The cleaner shall be constructed of the type of materials that allow for the highest quality of performance. The cleaner shall conform to Underwriters Laboratory Standard UL 1017. The motor

4、s shall be of the universal type and able to operate continu- ously at 4OoC ambient temperature. The motor shall be provided with a guarded enclosure. outlined in table I. The cleaner shall have a two position switch (on, off) for operating the cleaner which shall be mounted integral with the unit, shall be convenient and reliable for operation and of quick-break design, 7. The cleaner shall operate as a blower as well as a vacuum cleaner.

10、 8. The cleaner shall have either a 15 foot or 50 foot power cable, as specified in the ordering data. 9. The cleaner shall have a tapered, round, removable, nonconducting, discharge nozzle with an inside diameter as specified in table I. 10. The cleaner shall be provided with a scrap collection dev

11、ice of such construction as to prevent objects being drawn into the impeller with resultant damage to the impeller or impeller housing, or being thrown into the dust collection bag so as to penetrate the bag, thus creating a personnel safety hazard. The device shall be able to be attached to the int

12、ake side of the cleaner, and shall collect objects or hardware before they enter the impeller housing, while allowing the dust and air to pass into the dust collection bag. 11. When specified in the ordering data, attachments shall be supplied, as specified in table II. 12. Two copies of the manufac

Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units, provided they fall within specified toleran

20、ces using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of FED-STD-376, and all other requirements of this Commercial Item Description are met. If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch-pound units, a request shall be made

21、 to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. Regulatory reuuirements.
