2、ir Dry Paint; Texture Paint I 1.0 APPLICATION This specification covers an air dry vinyl modified, acrylic alkyd paint suitable for achieving a textured finish on fiberglass reinforced plastic parts, as described in TMS-9000. 2.0 SCOPE This specification covers the property and performance requireme

8、.2 9.8 f 0.2 4.1.3 The liquid properties listed in this section apply to all colors. 4.1.3.1 Flash Point: ASTM D-56 Shall be 27C (81F) minimum 4.1.3.2 Viscosity, As Received: ASTM D-562 Shall be 70-80 Kreb Units (or equivalent) 4.1.3.3 Storage Stability: CEMS GT-3B Shall meet the appearance requirem

9、ents of this storage stability test. 4.1.3.4 Dry Film Properties (All Colors) The following tests shall be performed on panels prepared and painted per TMS-9000. The panels shall be a min of 100 x 100 mm (4 x 4 in) or 100 mm (4 in) diameter cut from production parts. 4.1.3.5 Hiding Power: CEMS GT-2B

10、 Shall require a maximum dry film thickness of 25 pm (1 mil) to completely hide the black and gray Morest chart. 4.1.3.6 Weatherometer (250 Hours) Shall show no evidence of color change, cracking, or checking. 4.1.3.7 Hardness: CEMS GT-4D Shall be 2B minimum 4.1.3.8 Curing Properties on Receipt Shal

11、l be tack free after 15 minutes at 21-27C (70-80F). 4.1.3.9 Adhesion: CEMS GT-SA Shall exhibit 90% adhesion after the specified testing. 4.1.3.10 Salt Spray: CEMS GT-7D Shall exhibit no evidence of blistering and a maximum creepage of 0.8 mm (0.03 in) after 250 hours testing. 4.1.3.11 Humidity: CEMS

12、 GT-7E Shall exhibit no evidence of blistering immediately after removal from the humidity cabinet after 100 hours testing. 4.1.3.12 Water Immersion: CEMS GT-7G Shall exhibit no blistering or color change after 48 hours testing. 4.2.9 Color: FSTM 4250 Shall meet the requirements of FSTM 4250. 4.2.10

13、 Heat Stabilitv Panels heated in oven for 30 minutes at 120C (250F) shall exhibit no color change. Manufacturers wishing to supply material shall first certify complia

15、nce to all the requirements herein. Then, samples must be supplied to the TDTC for qualification testing. TITLE: REVISION: Enamel, Air Dry, Texture Finish c-1 6.0 SOURCE APPROVAL AND QUALITY CONTROL 6.1 Supplier Requirements Suppliers must conform to the requirements of the INTERNATIONAL IQR Standar

16、d which includes conformance to the QS-9000 (IS0 9001) Quality System Standard. A mutually acceptable Quality Control Plan as described therein is required for source approval to the requirements of this specification. 6.2 Approval Parts supplied against contracts or purchase orders citing this spec

17、ification shall be equivalent in all respects to those samples which were approved by the purchaser. No changes in formulation or processing practices are permitted without approval. In the event that changes in material, properties, processing practices, construction, color, or labeling of the prod

18、uct are required, the supplier shall notify Truck Development and Technology Center and International Purchasing and Supplier Development of the proposed change(s). Test data indicating conformance to all requirements of this specification, test samples, and new or amended or updated Material Safety

19、 Data Sheet(s) (MSDS), in accordance with CFR Title 29, Part 1910 shall be submitted with the request for change. 6.3 Process Control The supplier shall either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced or provide statistical evidence of the lot having been produced in a

20、state of statistical control and with a process capable of providing all required properties. The part supplier and the plant metallurgist andor the quality control manager of the using International plant may determine testing and reporting requirements on specific products. 7.0 SHIPPING, PACKING A

21、ND IDENTIFICATION Loading, packing and identification shall be in accordance with Manufacturing Std.
