Foreword This report is an update to the 2010 reaffirmation of NACE Publication 1E100 and illustrates commonly used engineering symbols and graphi
10、c representations that are related to cathodic protection (CP). The purpose of this update is to accommodate electronic drafting technologies, including geographic information system (GIS) applications, for which the previous symbols were not easily utilized. This document provides uniform designati
11、ons for CP symbols and is intended to provide a straightforward reference forcommonly used symbols for engineers, designers, contractors, and other corrosion control personnel who use CP and is designed to assist in avoiding confusion pertaining to the intended location and types of CP facilities. T
12、his technical committee report was originally prepared by NACE International Task Group T-1E-14, “Engineering Symbols Related to Cathodic Protection,” a component of Unit Committee T-1E, “Cathodic Protection of Oilfield Equipment,” with input from Unit Committee T-10A, “Cathodic Protection.” This te
13、chnical committee report was reaffirmed in 2010 by Specific Technology Group (STG) 05, “Cathodic/Anodic Protection.” In an effort to address and incorporate the comments received during the 2010 reaffirmation process, Task Group (TG) 429 was formed to review the report and propose revisions. This re
14、port is issued under the auspices of STG 05. NACE technical committee reports are intended to convey technical information or state-of-the-art knowledge regarding corrosion. In many cases, they discuss specific applications of corrosion mitigation technology, whether considered successful or not. St
