SCOPE 1.1 This Standard Practice establishes requirements for cast copper alloy flanges and flanged fittings having dimens
18、ions, ratings, and materials not included in ASME B16.24. Specifically, this Standard Practice encompasses the following: 1.1.2 Solder joint flanges, when made of ASTM B62, Copper Alloy UNS No. C83600, ASTM B584, Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C83600, C83800, and C84400, for rating Class 125 and Class 150. 1
19、.1.3 Threaded flanges and blind flanges, when made of ASTM B584, Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C83600, C83800, and C84400 for rating Class 150 and Class 300. 1.1.4 Flanged fittings, when made of ASTM B584, Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C83600, C83800, and C84400 for rating Class 150. 2. REFERENCES 2.1 Standards and
20、 specifications normatively referenced in this Standard Practice are shown in Annex A for convenience of identifying edition number, date, and source of developer. 3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 The ratings listed are based upon good practice for alignment and assembly. Use of the ratings for flanged j
21、oints not conforming to such practice is the sole responsibility of the user. Requirements for alignment and assembly of joints and considerations of leakage due to forces and moments developed in the connected piping or equipment are not covered in this Standard Practice. 3.2 Guidelines for (SI) me
22、tric data conversion may be found in MSS SP-86. 4. PRESSURE-TEMPERATURE RATINGS 4.1 Flanges or flanged fittings conforming to this Standard Practice shall have pressure-temperature ratings that are the lower of Table 5 or 6, as applicable, or Table 7. All ratings are the maximum allowable non-shock
23、pressures at the tabulated service temperatures. 4.2 If the two flanges in a flanged joint do not have the same pressure-temperature rating because one or both is soldered, blind, threaded, or made of another material, the rating of the joint at any temperature is the lower of the two flange ratings
24、. 4.3 The temperature shown for a corresponding pressure rating is the temperature of the pressure-containing shell of the flange or flanged fitting. In general, this temperature is the same as that of the contained fluid. 4.4 Ratings in this document apply to flanged joints that conform to the limi
