6、n to Intelligent Network Capability Set 3 Summary Intelligent Network Capability Set 3 (IN CS-3) is the third standardized stage of the Intelligent Network (IN) as an architectural concept for the creation and provision of services, including telecommunication services, service management services a
7、nd service creation services. This Recommendation gives an introduction to IN CS-3. It describes the main characteristics and overall capabilities of IN CS-3 and defines the service aspects, network aspects and functional relationships that form the basis of the IN CS-3 capabilities. This Recommenda
8、tion is the first in the Q.123-series Recommendations devoted to IN CS-3, which builds on the architectural principles of IN as described in the Q.121- and the Q.122-series Recommendations. The IN CS-3 Recommendations form a detailed and stable basis for implementing IN CS-3 telecommunication servic
9、es. They also provide high level guidelines for supporting service management services, service creation services and some partially supported telecommunication services. The IN CS-3 Recommendations are intended to give the same degree of technical information as the IN CS-2 Recommendations (1 997).
10、 Source ITU-T Recommendation Q. 123 1 was prepared by ITU-T Study Group 1 1 ( 1997-2000) and approved under the WTSC Resolution 1 procedure on 3 December 1999. FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications. The IT
11、U Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardiz
12、ation Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution 1. in some areas of information te
13、chnology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. INTEL
