6、 Recommendation M.2100 Performance limits for bringing-into-service and maintenance of international multi-operator PDH paths and connections Summary This Recommendation provides limits for bringing-into-service and maintenance of international multi-operator PDH paths which operate at or above the
7、primary rate, and connections which operate below the primary rate. Error, timing and availability performance are considered. A method for deriving ES and SES from in-service measurement is given for all hierarchical levels. Sections are not covered by this Recommendation. BIS limits and maintenanc
8、e procedures for radio sections are described in the relevant ITU-R Recommendations. Source ITU-T Recommendation M.2100 (2003) was approved by ITU-T Study Group 4 (2001-2004) under the ITU-T Recommendation A.8 procedure on 13 April 2003. M.2100 (04/2003) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nation
10、s specialized agency in the field of telecommunications. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunicatio
11、ns on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure la
12、id down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunic
13、ation administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure e.g. interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these manda
14、tory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory language such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is required of any party. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS ITU draws a
15、ttention to the possibility that the practice or implementation of this Recommendation may involve the use of a claimed Intellectual Property Right. ITU takes no position concerning the evidence, validity or applicability of claimed Intellectual Property Rights, whether asserted by ITU members or ot
