ITU-T K.74 (03/2015) i Recommendation ITU-T K.74 Electromagnetic compatibility, resistibility and safety requirements for home network devices Summary As a result of the widespread use of the Internet, an increasing number of networks are being installed in customer premises. Many wired and w
3、ireless telecommunication technologies have also been introduced in the home, and devices that use these technologies are now being used in close proximity to each other. This situation may cause new types of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), resistibility and safety problems. Recommendation ITU-
4、T K.74 provides EMC requirements for home network devices, which may be comprised of many types of equipment. 6、ITU-T K.74 (03/2015) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications, information and communication technologies (ICTs). The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is
7、 responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by
8、 the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a colla
9、borative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certa
10、in mandatory provisions (to ensure, e.g., interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory language such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirem
11、ents. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is required of any party. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTSITU draws attention to the possibility that the practice or implementation of this Recommendation may involve the use of a claimed Intellectual Property Right. I

19、rs can install home networks to which they can connect different kinds of equipment. This Recommendation provides a way for dealing with EMC problems that may potentially be caused by the development of home network environments, with the purpose of achieving a problem-free operation of home network

ITU-T K.74 (03/2015) 1 Recommendation ITU-T K.74 Electromagnetic compatibility, resistibility and safety requirements for home network devices 1 Scope With the recent advances in telecommunication technologies, high-speed access networks that can be readily used by users have been introduced
21、 in home environments. As a result, many users can now enjoy many network-based services, and many electronic devices can be connected to the network, allowing for the easy deployment of home networks. Additionally, many wired and wireless technologies have appeared in the market, many of which coul
22、d be introduced in home network environments. In these network configurations, several kinds of network-related equipment are introduced in the home and placed in close proximity to each other. This situation may create severe electromagnetic interferences and produce new types of electromagnetic co
23、mpatibility (EMC) problems. The purpose of this Recommendation is to provide EMC, resistibility and safety requirements for home network devices in order to avoid these EMC problems. To avoid duplication, existing international standards are referenced. This Recommendation is not intended to provide
