2、TU-T Recommendation J.175 Audio server protocol Summary This Recommendation describes the architecture and protocols that are required for playing announcements in Voice-over-IP (VoIP) IPCablecom networks. Announcements are typically needed for calls that do not complete. Additionally, they may be u
3、sed to provide enhanced information services to the caller. Different carrier service feature sets require different announcement sets and announcement formats. Announcements can be as basic as fixed-content announcements (e.g., all circuits busy) or as complex as those provided by intelligent IVR (
4、Interactive Voice Response) systems. The IPCablecom service model requires that all announcements be provisioned and signalled in a standard manner for all supported call features and use case scenarios. J.175 (11/2005) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU
6、. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics fo
7、r study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared
8、on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may con
9、tain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure e.g. interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory language such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express
10、requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is required of any party. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS ITU draws attention to the possibility that the practice or implementation of this Recommendation may involve the use of a claimed Intellectual Property
11、 Right. ITU takes no position concerning the evidence, validity or applicability of claimed Intellectual Property Rights, whether asserted by ITU members or others outside of the Recommendation development process. As of the date of approval of this Recommendation, ITU had received notice of intelle
12、ctual property, protected by patents, which may be required to implement this Recommendation. 16、commendation J.175 Audio server protocol 1 Scope This Recommendation describes the architecture and protocols that are required for playing announcements in Voice-over-IP (VoIP) IPCablecom networks. 18、Voice Response (IVR) systems. The IPCablecom service model requires that all announcements be provisioned and signalled in a standard manner for all supported call features and use case scenarios. This Recommendation defines a set of signalling protocols that are used to provide announcement service
19、s within a cable network. For one of these protocols the IPCablecom Network Call Signalling (NCS) protocol (ITU-T Rec. J.162) this Recommendation defines two new event packages: a Base Audio Package; an Advanced Audio Package. NOTE There may be cases where audio server implementations are based on p
20、rotocols other than that specified in this Recommendation. If other protocols are implemented, those implementations MUST adhere to IPCablecom-specified architectural and functional requirements, such as security and Quality of Service (QoS), and the required features/capabilities to support interop
21、erability. A variety of such protocols exists, including protocols such as INAP, ITU-T Rec.
