5、 This specification covers a power steering fluid used for factory fill in medium duty trucks and school buses that use Ross and Sheppard steering systems (Navistar Bulk P/N 2643472R1). 2.0 SCOPE This specification covers the physical and chemical properties for a modified ISO grade 46 hydraulic flu

6、id suitable for use in Ross and Sheppard power steering systems. 2.1 Restricted Chemical Substances Effective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the CEMS B-50 specification. 3.0 REFERENCE DOCUMENTS Unless otherwise spe

13、0-120 ppm. 4.5.4 Aniline Point (ASTM D 611) Shall be 90 - 105 C (194 - 221 F) 4.5.5 Corrosion Test (ASTM D 665) Must pass procedures A and B. 4.5.6 Copper Strip Corrosion ASTM D 130, 3 hours 100 C (212 F) Rating shall be classification 1B, maximum. 4.5.7 Oxidation Stability (ASTM D 2272) Shall be 20

14、0 minutes, minimum. 4.5.8 Steering Test Must be approved by TRW Commercial Steering Division, R. H. Sheppard Company, Bosch Braking Systems, and LUK Automotive Hydraulics. 5.0 QUALIFICATION Material submitted for qualification shall be accompanied by detailed test reports and certification that mate

17、ll suppliers to Navistar are required to be registered to ISO 9001 Quality System Requirements. Navistar will also accept TS-16949 registration as long as the supplier can also fulfill all AIAG PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and approval requirements. Suppliers must maintain t

18、heir certification with an accredited registrar and must furnish copies of registration certificates to their Navistar Corporate Buyer upon request. 6.2 Approval Parts supplied against contracts or purchase orders citing this specification shall be equivalent in all respects to those samples, which

19、were approved by the purchaser. No changes in formulation or processing practices are permitted without approval. In the event that changes occur in material properties, processing practices, or labeling, the supplier shall notify Materials Engineering at TDTC and Navistar Purchasing and Supplier De

20、velopment of the proposed change(s). Test data indicating conformance to all requirements of this specification, test samples, and new/amended/updated Material Safety Data Sheet(s) (MSDS), in accordance with CFR Title 29, Section 1910, shall be submitted with the request for change. 6.3 Process Cont

21、rol The supplier shall either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced using ISO 9001 or TS-16949 guidelines, or provide statistical evidence of the lot having been produced in a state of statistical control and with a process capable of providing all required propertie

22、s. The part supplier and the plant metallurgist and/or the quality control manager of the using NAVISTAR plant may determine testing and reporting requirements on specific products. 7.0 SHIPPING AND IDENTIFICATION Shipping and identification shall be in accordance with Navistar Manufacturing Standar

23、d MS-D-13.
