The aim of this test is to determine towing capacity during star
2、ting manoeuvres and nonstop driving, and the thermal load of the transmission in an alpine region in Europe. 1.2 Foreword. None. 1.3 Applicability. For all passenger cars. Note: Nothing in the specification, however, su- persedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been o

Note: In the event of a conflict between the Ger- man and the English language, the German lan- guage shall take precedence. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards are applicable unless otherwise specified. 2.1 Normative. 2.2 GM. GMUTS UR-0-1 3 Resources 3.1 Facilities. The t
4、est route shall be the Furka Pass in the Swiss Alps, from Realp up to the head of the pass (BT-7). 3.2 Equipment. 3.2.1 Transmission Display Unit with Speedo- meter 3.2.2 Multichannel Temperature Recorder (e.g. potentiometric recorder) for thermocouples to record temperature = f (time). Before the test, all thermocou- ples shall be calibrated. Calibration shall be carried out using the same recorder and compensation lines as are subs
12、e- quently used in the vehicle. The vcehicle shall be prepared with measuring device according to this test. 4.2 Conditions. 4.2.1 Environmental Conditions. The test route must be dry. 4.2.2 Conditions as specified in paragraphs 2.3, 3.1 and 3.2 shall be fulfilled. 4.2.3 Test Conditions. Deviations
13、from the requi- rements of this test procedure shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be speci- fied on component drawings, test certificates, reports etc. 4.3 Instructions. The SlVO (road Traffic Regu- lations) must be observed during all driving ma- noeuvres. 4.3.1 The vehicle + trai
14、ler shall be warmed up to the required operating temperatures (water tem- perature =+9O“C, transmission-oil sump tempera- ture =(+lo0 . +120)“C either by driving or by stalling the transmission). 4.3.2 Stall speed measurement with and without AC in Realp. 4.3.3 Start of Towing Test in Realp (Point 1
15、). AC shall be switched on if available. Brisk drive along the pass road in selector lever position ,D“ at max. full load until Point 2 at km 9.0. 4.3.4 Stop at Point 2. Next, drive off from a com- plete stop 4 times at full load in rapid succesion, each time reaching a driving speed of v = 16 km/h.
