1、Frankfurt Customer Course Fluid/Air Cooler Test with Defective Bypass Valve 1 Introduction 1.1 Purpose. The fluid temperatures in the transmission shall remain within the permissible range in all conditions. This also applies to transmissions with fluid/air cooler and defective bypass valve. The eme
2、rgency operating characteristics shall guarantee transmission temperatures within the permissible range. The purpose of the Frankfurt customer course described in this test procedure is to check the emergency operating characteristics in the event of a defective bypass valve. 1.2 Foreword. None. 1.3
3、 Applicability. The Frankfurt customer course constitutes a procedure for checking the emergency operating characteristics of a fluid/air cooler with defective bypass valve under normal customer conditions. The test procedure is also applicable for tests on other vehicle systems under normal custome
4、r conditions. 1.4 Definitions. Function of the Bypass Valve. The bypass valve described in this test procedure is intended for the temperature-dependent control of the fluid flow rate through the fluid/air cooler. The bypass valve directs only a relatively small part of the total fluid volumetric fl
5、ow through the fluid/air cooler at low fluid temperatures. This enables the operating temperature to be reached quickly. The bypass valve directs the major part of the fluid volumetric flow through the fluid/air cooler at very high temperatures and thus prevents the maximum permissible transmission
6、fluid temperatures from being exceeded. Note: Nothing in the specification, however, super- sedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. Note: In the event of a conflict between the English and the domestic language, the English language shall take precedence.

9、bt einen Rundkurs zur berprfung der Notlaufeigenschaften eines VLuft-Khlers mit ausgefallenem Bypassventil unter normalen Kundenbedingungen. Die Test Procedure bietet sich auch fr Unter- suchungen an anderen Fahrzeugsystemen unter normalen Kundenbedingungen an. 1.4 Definitionen. Funktion des Bypassv
10、entils. Das in dieser Test Procedure erwhnte Bypassventil dient der temperaturabhngigen Regulierung des lvolumenstroms durch den VLuft-Khler. Bei niedrigen ltemperaturen leitet das Bypassventil nur einen relativ geringen Teil des gesamten lvolumenstroms durch den VLuft-Khler. Somit wird ein schnelle
11、s Erreichen der Betriebstemperaturen ermglicht. Bei sehr hohen Temperaturen leitet das Bypassventil den grten Teil des lvolumenstroms durch den VLuft- Khler und verhindert so ein berschreiten der maximal zulssigen Getriebeltemperaturen. The vehicles shall be equipped with a fluid/air cooler and defective bypass valve. Thermoelement for recordin
14、g the transmission oil temperatures in the oil sump. 3.3 Test Vehicle I Test Piece. According to the equipped vehicle. 4 Procedure 4.1 Preparation. The vehicle shall be equipped according to Paragraph 3.2. 4.2 Conditions. 4.2.1 Environmental Conditions. The ambient temperature shall be at least +30“
15、C. The road shall be dry. 4.2.2 Test Conditions. Deviations from the requirements of this test procedure shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be specified on component drawings, test certificates, reports etc. 4.3 Instructions. The test procedure simulates normal customer demands. Fo
16、r this reason, no particular test procedure applies. Driving shall be performed on the test route (see Appendix). 5 Data 5.1 Calculations. None. 5.2 Interpretation of Results. The permissible temperatures for the transmission oil in the sump shall be at the maximum +132“C and at constant operation +
17、11O“C. The above temperature values shall not be exceeded over the entire test route. 5.3 Test Documentation. The test procedure renders any particular representation of the results unnecessary.
