When driving over curb edges, inparking garages and through grooves, the enginecompartment insulation can, in extreme cases, hitthe ground or the edge

In addition tocausing scratches and scrapes, which do not impairthe function of the engine compartment insulation,the impact on the engine compartment insulation canlead to cracks in the material and damage or rupturefastening elements and bolt connections.1.2 Vorwort. After loading the vehicle,the ground clearance of the engine compartmentcover and the wheel cut-out height above the groundshall be measured. Reference shall be made tothe specification sheet “Ground Clearance“ or therelease drawing for
