The purpose of this test procedure is to check and assure the function and the ther- mal stability o
3、f an automatic transmission at max. oil level under European driving and environ- mental conditions. It simulates top speed autobahn driving with heavy decelerations in vehicle longitudinal direc- tion by making braking manoeuvres as well as high lateral accelerations by driving fast turns (e. g. au

Vehicle equipped as follows: - New, inspected automatic transmission accord- ing to latest design status.
10、- Oil level adjusted to full level according to oil levelling specification (see drawing). Provide transmission vent valve with receptacle. In case a vent hose is used the receptacle shall be attached to the end of the hose. The hose routing shall correspond with the release. 3.3.2 Vehicle Equipment
11、. - Air conditioning - Engine encapsulation (if programmed for pro- duction start) - Engine cooling according to latest develop- ment status - Anti-lock brake system 3.3.3 Vehicle Load. Curb mass + driver and one front passenger. 4 Procedure 4.1 Preparation. 4.1 .I Temperature Measuring Point. Therm
12、o- couples are required at least for the following six temperature measuring points. 4.1 .I .I Measuring point 1, transmission oil sump temperature. In the oil sump as near as possible to the suction of oil pump (e. g. oil pan). 4.1 .I .2 Measuring point 2, converter output temperature. In the fitti
13、ng of the transmission oil line at the transmission outlet. 4.1.1.3 Measuring point 3, transmission input temperature. In the fitting of the transmission oil line at the transmission inlet. 4.1 .I .4 Measuring point 4, engine coolant “hot”. In the radiator inlet. 4.1.1.5 Measuring point 5, engine co
14、olant “cold”. In the radiator outlet. 4.1.1.6 Measuring point 6, ambient tempera- ture. On the vehicle roof, protected from direct insolation. 3.3 Versuchsfahrzeug I Probekrper. 3.3.1 Getriebeausrstung. Fahrzeug, ausgestat- tet wie folgt: - Neuwertiges, kontrolliertes automatisches Getriebe letzten
15、Entwicklungsstandes. - Olstand auf Maximum eingestellt, ent- sprechend Spezifikation Olbefllung (siehe Zeichnung). Auffangbehlter am Entlfter des Getriebes; bei Einsatz eines Entlftungsschlauches mu der Auffangbehlter am Ende des Schlauches ange- bracht sein. Schlauchverlegung wie Freigabe. 3.3.2 Fa
16、hrzeugausstattung. - Klimaanlage - Motorraumabschottung - Motorkhlung letzter Entwicklungsstand - ABS-Bremsanlage 3.3.3 Fahrzeugbeladung. Before the test, all thermocou- ples shall be calibrated. The same recorder and compensation line shall be used for the calibration as later used
21、in the vehicle. 4.2 Conditions. 4.2.1 Environmental Conditions. For the evaluation of the transmission oil temperatures, and oil spillage from the breather, the ambient temperature shall be 2 +30“C throughout the test. 4.2.2 Test Conditions. Deviations from the requi- rements of this test procedure
22、shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be speci- fied on component drawings, test certificates, reports etc. 4.2.3 Test Road. The test shall be performed on a level and dry road. 4.2.4 Transmission Oil. The tested transmission oil shall comply with the following: Oil grade to be first
23、fill as oil grade used in production. Oil which has been in the vehicle for a running distance representative of the specified oil change intervals. If an oil change is not speci- fied, the required running distance is 100.000 km. 4.3 Instructions. 4.3.1 The vehicle shall be driven in selector lever
24、 position “D“ with the air conditioning on until an engine coolant temperature of = +9O“C and a transmission oil sump temperature of (+80 to +120)“C is reached. Then the vehicle speed shall be increased to Vmax and temperature recorder shall be started. Then shall be driven at top speed until the oi
