2、ication is a water based baking stonechip protective repair primer for exterior automotive application.2. APPLICATIONThis specification was released originally for material used as stone chipprimer for spot repair on bodie s or assemblies where originally stone chipprimer WSK-M6J165-A had been used.
3、3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStanda rd Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedth erein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat
4、 variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial appro
5、val shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material lab oratory. All samples shall produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONINGAll test values indicated herein are based o
6、n ma terial conditioned ina control led atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relativehumidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under thesame conditions unless otherwise specified.3.4 COMPOSITION3.4.1 Resin: Water borne synthetic resins.3.4.2 Pigments: Pigments and fillers to obt

After the storage the material must pass allspe
10、cification requirements.3.6 PREPARATION OF TEST PANELSTest panels shall be prepared according to WSK-M6J165-A, para 3.6.3.6.1 Repair Version A3.6.1.1 Preparation of Repair Panels:Test panels are sanded through to bare metal i n thecentre in a spot of 3 0 mm diameter. On one half ofthe test panel, th
11、e topcoat is dry sanded with P360sandpaper. The surface of the test panel shall becleaned with Cleaning Petrol.3.6.1.2 Application of Repair Primer WSK-M6J162-A:Dry film thickness: 10 - 15 micrometre;Flash off time: 3 minutes;Baking: 10 minutes at 130 C object temperature.ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIF

The surfa ce of the test panel shall becleaned with Cleaning Petrol.3.6.2.2 Application of Repair Primer WSK-M6J162-A:Dry film thickness: 10 - 15
15、 micrometre;Air drying: 3 minutes at 23 +/- 2 C;Baking: 10 minutes at 88 C object temperature.3.6.2.3 Application of Stone Peck Resistant Repair PrimerWSK-M6J166-A:Dry film thickness: sufficient for spot repair;Flash off time: 3 minutes;Baking: 10 minutes at 130 C object temperature.3.6.2.4 Top Coat
