SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a black or grey color glass reinforced unsaturated polyester (UP). This material is highly filled with
3、calcium carbonate/mineral fillers with glass fiber. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for solenoid caps and brush holders. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys S
4、tandard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 MOLDING COMPOUND 3.4.1 Filler Content 3.4.1.1 Ash Content 56 - 60% (ISO 3451/1, Method A 1 h at 650 +/- 25 C) 3.4.1.2 Glass Fiber Content, by weight 15 - 18% Test Method: ISO 3451/1, Method B, 1 h at 650 +/- 25 C, except use 5% by v
5、olume hydrochloric acid solution for 15 minutes. Rinse and filter the glass fibers several times with distilled water (use of glass filter with 50 micrometre size pores, maximum is recommended) before drying in an oven for 2 h at 120 +/- 2 C. After cooling, weigh the crucibles and calculate the perc
6、ent glass fibers. 3.5 MOLDED TEST SPECIMEN 3.5.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Unless otherwise specified all tests shall be carried out on compression molded test specimens. The following dimensions are required: A. 150 min x 10 x 4.0 +/- 0.2 mm (Tensile Bar) B. 120 x 10 x 4.0 +/- 0.2 mm Specimens
7、with shorter dimensions shall be cut from the center portion of the test specimen A and/or B. The specimens shall be prepared under optimum conditions as defined by the manufacturer of raw material. No annealing allowed.
