SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene molding compound with high heat resistance. 2. APPLICATION This material is generally used for manufacturing bright de
3、corative electroplated plastic exterior parts such as emblems, radiator grills and/or as specified on the Engineering Drawing. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TEST SPECIMEN Note: The material shall be conditioned for a minimum of 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity prior to
4、test and tested under the same conditions. Preparation of Test Specimen: Clause 3.1.1: Injection molded test specimens according to ISO 294. The optimum molding conditions shall be as recommended by the supplier of the molding compound. Clause 3.1.2, 3.1.3 and 3.1.4: Molded test specimens according
5、to ISO 293. Test specimens shall be free from strain, or cut from strainless compression molded sheets. 3.1.1 Izod Impact Strength, Notched (ISO R 180, specimen size: 63.5 x 12.7 x 3.2 mm) At 23 C, min 108 J/m At - 40 C, min 49 J/m 3.1.2 Flexural Modulus, min 2.05 kN/mm2 (ISO R 178; specimen size: 8

7、e oil, except with a weight force of 49 N (5 kgf) 3.2 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF FINISHED PART As specified on the Engineering Drawing. 3.3. INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY (FLTM EU-A0 50-1) The IR-curve of the granule and/or molded part shall correspond to the curve of the initial laboratory sample as recorded
8、 and filed by the FoMoCo quality control or testing laboratories. It shall serve as a reference curve for quick identification of basic type of material and source and to solve part problems. For second or third suppliers new curves shall be established provided the material meets all other requirem
9、ents of this specification. 3.4 Flammability 3.4.1 SK-M4D9799-A No requirement 3.4.2 SK-M4D9799-B (FLTM EU-BN 24-2) Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute Note to Flammability: The flammability shall be determined on 100 x 355 mm specimens with a thickness of 1.8 - 2.0 mm and smooth surfaces. In order to comp
10、ly with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 302, the materials, portions of components, and composites shall not burn or transmit a flame across their surface, at a rate of more than 100 mm/minute. To demonstrate compliance, the sample size and method of testing shall be in accordance with FLT
