2、his procedure is used to determine the peel adhesion strength of emblems and badges bonded to rigid substrates. Apparatus and Materials Required Tensile Testing Machine Universal Testing Machine, Instron or equivalent capable of using the integral method of calculation. Indexing Peel Fixture Instron

See Figure 1 for examp

Tape 3M Scotch filament tape 898 or tape with equivalent tensile strength (6650 N/100 mm width) Preparation of Test Specimens Number of specimens required will be identified in the material or performance specification. If the number of specimens is not identified, then test 3 specimens. 1. Clam
5、p the substrate horizontally onto the peel fixture. Clamping should ensure that no buckling or distortion of the substrate occurs during the test. 2. If testing a flexible material (such as an emblem), manually separate the flexible material from the rigid substrate. Adhere the 3M tape or equivalent
6、 to the free end of the flexible material with at least 25 mm overlap. Clamp the other end of the tape in the tensile testing machine (See Figure 2). 3.
