7、onditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure NOTE: The te

8、st must be performed under good ventilation conditions in suitable fume hood. 1. Assemble the apparatus per Figure 1, adding 50 cm3 of tap water to Tube “A“. 2. Place the test specimen, approximately 2500 mm2 in area, into Tube “B“ (Tube “B“ has been previously dried at 100 C for 30 minutes and is f

9、ree of residual moisture). 3. Open the hydrogen sulfide cylinder valve and remove the pinch clamp from the exhaust hose on Tube “B“. Adjust the valve so that a hydrogen sulfide gas rate of 3 to 5 bubbles per s is obtained. Allow the gas to flow for 90 +/- 5 s. Note: The flow rate must not be high en

10、ough to cause moisture to be carried over into Tube “B“. 4. After flowing the gas for the specified time, close the valve and replace the pinch clamp onto the Tube “B“ exhaust hose. Allow the specimen to remain in Tube “B“ for 120 +/- 5 s. 5. Remove the sample from Tube “B“. FORD LABORATORY TEST MET

(a) Immediately after removal from the test apparatus and (b) after standing for 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C while exposed to the l

12、aboratory atmosphere (if specified by the Engineering Material Specification). Report as required by the applicable Engineering Material Specification. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
