SCOPE The material defined by this specification is expanded polyethylene foam with a pressure sensitive adhesive applied to one side and covered with release paper. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released ori
3、ginally for material used as a sealer washer on a convertible top assembly. The adhesive is required for locating and temporary retention prior to mechanical assembly. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Company
4、s Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 COLOR Natural or as specified on engineering drawing 3.2 CELL COUNT, min 15/in (59/100 mm) 3.3 CELL STRUCTURE Homogeneous cell structure with no large voids or solid spots and shall be free from internal defects such as tears. 3.
5、4 LOAD DEFLECTION 3.0 - 10.0 psi (21 - 69 kPa) (ASTM D 1056) Test Method: Sample size 1.0 x 1.0 in (25 x 25 mm). Determine the sample thickness under a 1.0 lb (4.4 N) preload. Deflect the sample 25% at 2.0 in (50 mm)/min. Record as psi (kPa) at 25% deflection. 3.5 TENSILE STRENGTH, min 18 psi (125 k
