2、the adhesion requirements for an adhesive oran adhesive system suitable for structurally bonding FRP/FRP andFRP/metal assemblies.2. APPLICATIONThis specification was released originally for adhesives used tostructurally bond glassfiber reinforced polyester (FRP) and metalreinforcements in the constr
3、uction of truck liftgates. These adhesionrequirements cover assemblies consisting of FRP, zinc phosphate coatedand prime CRLC, and galvanized steel substrates. Adhesives meeting theserequirements can be applied on body components exposed to electrocoatbake ovens.This specification does not describe
4、initial adhesive cure conditions.The procedures for assembly bonding shall be prescribed in accordance toadhesive manufacturer and part supplier recommendations.Materials meeting this performance specification are identified on theCorporate Approved Source List.Compliance with this performance speci
5、fication does not guarantee thestructural adhesive will function for all potential applications on avehicle. The specific design condition should be evaluated by a planttrial or laboratory simulation prior to release of the material.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 CONDITIONINGAll test values indicated herein are
