24、xtraction, to be used when the size is completely soluble in a suitable solvent; method B:sizeremovalbychemicaldigestionusingamixtureofsulfuricacidandhydrogenperoxide,used whenthesizeispartiallyhardenedandnotcompletelysolubleinsolvents; method C:sizedecompositionbypyrolysisathightemperatureinanatmos

Methods AandBrequirethelastweighingtobemadetoconstantmassbyrepetitionofthefinaldryingandweighing procedure.Inthosecaseswhereknownmaterialsarebeingtestedregularly,itispermittedtodefine,byexperiment, aminimumtimefordryingwhichwillensureth

26、atconstantmasshasbeenreached.Particularcaremayberequired ifthecarbonfibreorsizingiswaterabsorbent.
