15、cision 2008/264/EC on the fire safety requirements to be met by European Standards for cigarettes pursuant to Directive 2001/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council 1. 1 Scope This European Standard specifies fire safety requirement for cigarettes. 2 Normative references The following re

For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. EN ISO 12863:2010, Standard test method for assessing the ignition

17、propensity of cigarettes (ISO 12863:2010) 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in EN ISO 12863:2010 and the following apply. 3.1 cigarette with reduced ignition propensity cigarette that self extinguishes when not actively puffed, before it has b

18、urnt through its full length NOTE See (3.2). 3.2 full-length burn outcome of a determination in which the cigarette continues to burn to or past the front plane of the tipping paper (filter tip cigarettes) or past the tips of the metal pins for non-filter tip cigarettes EN ISO 12863:2010 3.3 batch o

19、f cigarettes specimens set of 40 determinations NOTE This is a “test“ as defined in EN ISO 12863. 4 Requirements No more than 25 % of a batch of cigarettes specimens to be tested shall burn through their full length. The assessment shall be carried out according to EN ISO 12863. The determination sh

20、all be carried out on 10 layers of filter paper as standard substrate specified in EN ISO 12863.
