20、ngafulcruminthecentreandacounterbalance attheoppositeend,thuspermittingthepermanentmagnettomoveinoneplaneinbothdirections. Thestandardinsertsarelowmagneticmaterialsofknownpermeabilityvaluesascalibratedbythe manufactureroftheindicator. 5.2 Test Screwintothetopofthecaseacalibratedinsertofthespecifiedp

21、ermeability.Thepermanentmagnetis attractedtotheinsertbyaforcedependentupontheinsertsdesignatedpermeabilityvalue.Placetheendof thepermanentmagnetprojectingfromtheholeinthebottomoftheindicatorincontactwiththeitembeing tested.Movetheindicatorawayinadirectionnormaltothecontactsurface.Iftheitembeingteste

22、dhasa permeabilityhigherthanthatoftheinsert,thepermanentmagnetwillbreakcontactfirstwiththeinsertasthe indicatorismovedaway.However,ifthepermeabilityoftheitembeingtestedislowerthanthatoftheinsert, thepermanentmagnetwillbreakcontactfirstwiththetestitemastheindicatorismovedaway. 5.3 Requirement Maximum
