19、-3:2006 (E) 4 1 Scope This standard specifies requirements for all-rubber and all-polymeric footwear constructed to be highly resistant to specific chemicals. This standard does not cover footwear made from leather. NOTE Requirements for slip resistance are not given in the current (2004) editions o

20、f EN ISO 20345, EN ISO 20346 or EN ISO 20347. Footwear highly resistant to chemicals may o

27、r may not include a toe cap. The choice shall be made from one of the three columns (EN ISO 20345, EN ISO 20346 or EN ISO 20347) in Table 2. 40、given in EN 374-1: 2003, Annex A. 6.2.2 Degradation resistance For footwear highly resistant to degradation by chemicals, at least three chemicals chosen in Table 4 shall be tested. Other chemicals may be used according to the intended use. 6.2.2.1 General A footwear item protecting against chemical

41、s shall be tested according to EN 13832-1:2006, 4.2. The sole and upper shall both be tested with the same chemicals. After the tests, the tests pieces shall be inspected. If they are very affected (see EN 13832-1:2006, 4.2.4.3), it is considered that they fail the test. EN 13832-3:2006 (E) 9 6.2.2.

45、 4. Other chemicals may be used additionally according to the intended use. 6.2.3 Permeation resistance Using all of the chemicals selected under 6.2.2, carry out the test to EN 13832-1:2006, 4.3. The minimum performance requirement is level 1. At least 3 chemicals of the list given in Table 4 shall

46、 fulfil 6.2.2 and EN 13832-1:2006, 4.3 to get the marking EN 13832-3: 2006. The five levels of performance are defined as follows. Level 1: permeation occurs between 121 min and 240 min; Level 2: permeation occurs between 241 min and 480 min; Level 3: permeation occurs between 481 min and 1 440 min;

47、 Level 4: permeation occurs between 1 441 min and 1 920 min; EN 13832-3:2006 (E) 10 Level 5: no permeation after 1 921 min. 6.3 Outsole When outsoles from classification II footwear are tested as described in EN ISO 20344: 2004, 8.3, the relative volume loss shall be not greater than 350 mm3. 7 Addi

48、tional requirements for footwear highly resistant to chemicals For a specific application, in accordance with the intended use, it may be necessary to define additional requirements. In such case, footwear highly resistant to chemicals shall also conform to the appropriate additional requirements gi
