30、nFigure1,shallbefittedtotheacoustictestfixturein orderadequatelytosupportthecompletehelmetmountedearmuffinposition. 4.1.3Procedure FollowtheproceduregiveninEN248693,subjecttothefollowingmodifications: a) Eithertherandomincidencesoundfieldortheplaneprogressivewaveshallbeused.Whenusingtheplane progres

31、sivewave,iftherequirementforinsertionlossisnotsatisfied,thetestshallberepeatedusingthe randomincidencefield.Iftherequirementforinsertionlossisthensatisfied,thisshallbedeemedtobethe definitiveresult; b) Theinsertionlossshallbemeasuredatallonethirdoctavebandsfrom250Hzto8000Hz; c) Themeanandstandarddev

32、iationofthevaluesreportedin4.1.3b)shallbereportedforallspecifiedcupsat eachfrequency; d) Inthecaseofuniversalearmuffstheinsertionlossshallbemeasuredinonlyonemodeofwearing, preferablyoverthehead; e) Ifmeanstoadjusttheheadbandforceisincorporated,theforceshallbeadjustedtoitsmaximumsetting; f) Inthecase

35、ureandpresentthesoundattenuationofdefinedspecimensinaccordancewithEN248691. 4.2.3.2Ifmeanstoadjusttheheadbandforceisincorporated,adjusttheforcetoitsminimumsetting. 4.2.3.3Inthecaseofearplugs,supplyeachsubjectwithaseparatepairofearplugsofappropriatesize. 4.2.3.4Inthecaseofahelmetmountedearmuffswhichd
