SCOPE This specification covers iron core, power transformers up to 10 KVA for use in electronic equip ment where long life, reliability and continuity of operation is essential. 2. DEFINITIONS De
4、finitions of electrical terms used in this specification shall be in accordance with those given in “American Standard Definitions of Electrical Terms,” ASA No. C42-1941, except as otherwise noted. The “RMS working voltage” between any winding and any other winding or ground ahall be defined as 0.70
5、7 times the sum of the maximum d-c voltage and the peak a-c voltage which may appear between that winding and the other winding or ground under normal conditions of continuous operation. 3. PURCHASE SPECIFICATIONS The purchaser shall furnish information on the following subjects : NOTES: (1) Receive

A PERFORMANCE STANDARDS 4.1 Permissible Temper
15、ature Rise When tested under standard conditions as described in 5.1, the maximum temperature riae of the transformer winding shall not exceed the limit for the class of insulation used, as defined by the latest issue of AIEE Standard No. 1. Unless other classes are specifically agreed upon between
16、purchaser and manufacturer, Class A insulation shall be used. 4.2 Secondary Voltagea When the transformer is operated as described in 6.2, each RMS secondary voltage, or d-c voltage at the filter input (correct to ambient temperature of 3.7.2) shall not differ more than three per cent from the speci

If any winding has a center tap, the RMS voltage across each half of that winding shall be between 49.5 per cent and 60.6 per cent of the voltage across the entire winding. 4.3 Moisture Resistance Unless otherwise specified, transformers shall be so constructed as to successfully pass t

21、 sec- ondary voltages shall be measured with the transformer operating at rated line voltage and frequency. In correcting the measured load voltages to specified ambient temperature (section 4.2) it shall be assumed the temperature rises of the windings are the same as were computed in 5.1.2 (i). 5.
