This cmercial item description covers requirements for one type of wide mouth, plastic, screw-cap bottle, suitable f

2、or storing laboratory solutions and corrosive liquids and as a shipping container. Salient characteristics: Shall be a wide mouth polyethylene or polypropylene bottle of square shape. Shall be of natural color. The bottles shall have a capacity of 32 ounces. of the bottle shall not extend above the

3、bottom level of the neck. The fill of the bottle shall be within +1/2, -0 ounce of the capacity specified. Shall have a wide mouth with continuous type conventionally used, thread finish. enough to readily permit filling and dispensing of the contents. Shall be cymetrical in shape and the walls shal

4、l be of uniform thickness. When placed on a plane moth surface the bottles shall be stable. The normal capacity point The mouth opening of the bottle shall be large The bottle shall be fitted with a one-piece molded polypropylene, screw cap. The screw cap shall be threaded with a continuous type thr

5、ead. Shall have a molded-in seal ring which makes a close fit with the finish of the bottle forming an effective seal. With the screw cap applied, hand tight, there shall be no leakage. To provide for firm gripping for removing and tightening of the screw cap, the outside vertical surface of the scr

6、ew cap shall have ribs. The bottle shall be furnished with the screw cap in place and shall be clean, dry and ready for use. Workmanship. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any facilities suitable for th

9、e performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed re

10、quirements, Responsibility for inspection, Records. Records of examinations and tests performed by or for the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon the Governments request, at any time, or fran the to time, during the performance of the contract a

11、nd for a period of three years after delivery o the supplies to which such records relate. Inspection. Inspection, as used herein, is defined as both examination (such as visual or auditory investigation without the use of special laboratocy aRliances or procedures) and testing (detemination by tech

12、nical means of physical and chemical properties) of the item. Samplinq or tests. Sampling for tests shall be in accordance with ccxnnerciai practice. The unit of product for tests purposes shall be one unit, - %&s. Tests shail be conducted to determine compliance with specification requj.rements. Wh

13、ere feasible, the sane sample shall be used for the determination of two or more tests. Leakaqe test. Bottles shall be filled with water and closure shall be amlied, hand tight.
