1、A-A-53012 65 = 777777i.i 0027187 7 A-A-53 O 12 9 June 1987 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION SCISSORS, WIRE CUTTING (Angular) The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description as a replacement for Military Specification MIL-S-47022(DM), dated 23 September 1986,

2、 which is cancelled. This commercial item description covers an angular wire cutting scissors. Salient characteristics. Material. Scissors shall be manufactured from Class 4 martensitic corrosion-resistant steel in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard F899 . Har

3、dness. The scissor blades shall have a Rockwell hardness Of HRC 50-55. Style and desiqn. Scissors shall be in accordance with DPSC Drawing 24536. Both tips shall be blunt. Passivation. The scissors shall be properly passivated, Finish. The finish shall be mirror or satin. The finish shall be uniform

4、 and free from cracks, pits, crevices, burrs, and grind or tool marks, and dirt or polishing materials. Markings. The scissors shall be permanently marked with the manufacturers name or registered trademark and the word “stainless“. In addition, forceps of foreign manufacture shall bear the name of

5、the country of manufacture. Tests. Scissors shall be tested for corrosion-resistance, hardness, and performance as specified under Quality Assurance Provisions. The scissors shall be processed in such a manner as to be uniform and free from defects which affect life, utility,

Records of examinations and tests performed by or fol: the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor: and made available to the Government upon the Governments request, at any

The test material for the first test shall be an austenitic corrosion-resistant steel wire of 0.010 Ir 0.005 inches outside d

17、iameter. The cuts shall be made with the serrated portion.of the scissor jaws. The test for the second test shall be an austenitic corrosion- resistant steel wire of 0.0495 (minimum) inches outside diameter. The cuts shall be made with the notched portion of the scissor jaws. Each test shall consist

18、s of three separate cuts. The wire shall not bind or snag in the scissor jaw, nor shall the cut cause the wire tip to bend. There shall be no nicks or damage to the scissors caused by cutting. 0 After cutting, the jaws shall be examined. Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify that th
