COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION CENTRIFUGE, LABORATORY The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description. This Commercial Item Description covers one type of table model centrifuge, that is cap

2、able of accommodating 1/2 to 100 milliliter (mi) capacity tubes, and suitable for general laboratory use in per- forming a wide variety of laboratory testing. Falient characteristics: Shall be a table model centrifuge, that is operable from 115 vol.t, 50/60 Hz, AC supply lines and has a maximum powe

3、r rating of 450 watts. As a minimum, shall consist of a motor driven 4-place horizontal head, metal housing with cover, power on/off switch, control panel arid power cord. The motor driven horizontal head (unloaded) shall have an adjustable speed range that includes 100 to 2400 RPM. The head shall.

4、be designed to accept the following trunnion ring with shield combina- tions - which shall be commercially available but are not required to be supplied with the centrifuge: 1. 4 each - seven (7) place trunnion ring with 7 shields to accomiodate 15 nl. round bottom tubes. 2. 4 each - two (2) place t

5、runnion ring with 2 shields to accommodate 50 ml. tapered bottom tubes. 3. 4 each - one (i) place trunnion ring with shield t-o accommodate a 100 ml. cone-shaped tube. 4. each - one (1) place trunnion ring with shield to accommodate a LOO ml. pear-shaped tube. 7、ed when loaded with the following tube sizes: Tube size RCF - 15 ml. 1290 50 ml. 1415 100 ml. (cone-shaped) 1305 100 ml. (pear-shaped) 1085 The centrifuge shall include an automatic mode of operation, whereby a desired centrifuging time can be preset, wjt.hin a range that includes 0 to 99 minutes, a

The centrifuge shall include a manual. mode of ciperation, whereby during centrifuging the elapse

9、d time, within a range that includes 0 to 99 minutes, shall be indicated on the control panel. Regardless of: the elapsed time, the centrifuge shall continue tu operate until manually stopped. The housing and cover shall have a. baked-on enamel finish. A power on/off switch shall be attached to a cu

10、tout in the housing. The bottom of the base shall be supplied with rubber or neoprene feet. The cover shall be supplied with ii safety device that will not. allow the cover to be opened while the centrifuge is in operation. The control panel shall inc1u.de the following controls: an automat- ic/nian

11、ual- roode selection switch., start and stop switches (or push buttons) or operating the centrifuge, timer adjustment automatic mode countdown, variable speed control. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the rigkit to perform any of the inspecti

15、ons set forth in the specifications where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the Records. Records of examinations and tests perforned by or for the contractor shall be

16、maintained by the contractor and made a-vailable to the Government upon the Governments request, at any time, or from time to time, during the performance of the contract and for a period of three years after delivery of the supplies to which such records relate. Inspection. Inspection, as used here

17、in, is defined as both exami- nation (such as visual OK auditory investigation without the use of special laboratory appliances or procedures) and testing (deter- mination kiy technical means of pbysical and ckierrlic:al properties) of the item. Inspections and testfnq. Inspection and testing shall

18、be conducted on each centrifuge to demonstrate its caFability for proper opcra- tion. Contractor certification. The contractor shall.certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description - - and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and q

19、umlity a.ssurance practices. +The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
