SCOPE. This commercial it

3、em description (CID) covers an insulated electrical binding post used as a wiring termination on terminal boards and test set panels. 2. CLASSIFICATION. The electrical binding post shall be classified and identified by the type in accordance with the characteristics specified in table I. The selecte

The product shall consist of the binding post, insulated spring-loaded cap, insulated mounting washers, o-ring, and all mounting hardware. Provided by IHSNot

8、ise in the acquisition order (see 7.3(c), the current-carrying portions of the binding post shall be brass conforming to the requirements of ASTM B16/B 16M, “Standard Specification for Free-Cutting Brass Rod, Bar and Shapes for Use in Screw Machines“. 3.2.2 Finish. Unless otherwise specified in the

9、acquisition order (see 7.3(d), metal portions of the binding post shall be nickel plated in accordance with SAE AMS-QQ-N-290, “Nickel Plating (Electrodeposited)“. 3.2.2.1 Solder coating. Unless otherwise specified in the acquisition order (see 7.3(e), the solder terminal end shall be hot solder dipp

10、ed/coated. 3.2.3 Insulation. The material used for the insulated portions of the binding post shall be specified in the acquisition order (see 7.3(f). The insulated parts of an individual binding post shall all be of the same color and unless otherwise specified in the acquisition order (see 7.3(g),

The cap shall be insulated and non-removable. The strength of the cap spring shall permit the cap to be depressed using a force of 3

12、to 5 pounds. 3.4 Non-turn feature. Unless otherwise specified in the acquisition order (see 7.3(h), the non-turn feature shall be a flattened boss on the molded-on insulated piece configured to fit the typical mounting hole as shown in figure 2 and oriented with respect to the wire and probe opening

The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulatio

14、n (FAR). 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS 5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial

15、marketplace. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5.2 Market acceptability.
