SC

2、OPE. This Commercial Item Description (CID) covers diesel-engine-driven, hydraulically operated, crawler-type, front end loaders. The loaders are intended to be used for digging, lifting, transporting, dumping, and other grading operation over sloping and rough terrain. 2. CLASSIFICATION. The loader

3、s shall be of the following styles, classes, and sizes as specified (see 7.2). Style A = ROPS with canopy. Style B = Fully enclosed ROPS cab. Class 1 = With a General Purpose bucket. Class 2 = With a Multipurpose bucket. Size L 1 Size L 1.25 = 1.25 yd3 (.96 m3). Size L 1.5 = 1.5 yd3 (1.15 m3). Size

4、L 2 Size L 2.5 = 2.5 yd3 (1.91 m3). Size L 3 Size L 3.75 = 3.75 yd3 (2.87 m3). = 1 yd3 (76 m3) rated capacity = 2 yd3 (1.53 m3). = 3 yd3 (2.29 m3). Notes: 1. The Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS) shall conform to SAE J1040. 2. , Loader buckets shall be furnished with easily replaceable teeth. 3.

5、 The rated capacity shown in cubic yards (yd3) or cubic meters (m) is the nominal heaped capacity measured in accordance with SAE J742. Beneficial comme material with a density of approximately 3,000 pounds per cubic yards (1 780 kilograms per cubic metre). 3.2.3 Environmental conditions. Unless oth

6、erwise specified (see 7.2), the loader shall be capable of being stored, started, and operated efficiently at any elevation and ambient temperature from minus 20 to plus 120 degrees Fahrenheit (F) or from minus 29 to plus 49 degrees Celsius (“C). 3.3 Allied eauipment. Ail necessary hardware or compo

7、nents required for quick change over to install the.applicable allied equipment shall be fimished. 3.3.1 Forklift assembly. When specified (see 7.2), a fkont mounted forklift assembly shall be furnished. The fork attachment shall have a load capacity of not less than 5,000 pounds (2268 kilograms ).

8、The forks tines shall be not less than 42 inches (1067 millimetre (mm) long. Distance between forks shall be adjustable over the width of the carriage. 3.3.2 Backhoe assembly. When specified (see 7.2), the loader shall be furnished with a rear mounted, self-contained backhoe assembly, complete with

9、operator station and controls. The backhoe shall have a reach of not less than 12 feet (3.66 metre) and furnshed with a 24 inches (610 mm) bucket with replaceable teeth. 3.3.3 Ripper assembly. When specified (see 7.2), a rear mounted, hydraulically operated parallelogram ripper assembly shall be fmi

10、shed. The ripper shall have not less than five shank pockets and five teeth. 3.4 ODtional accessories. The operators compartment for both style A and style By shall include an upholstered (weather-proof material) adjustable operators seat, complete with type-1 seat belt conforming to SAE J386. 3.4.1.1 Style A. The style A operators co

12、mpartment shall be furnished with metal canopy top. The instrument panel shall be protected with lockable panel guard. 3.4.1.2 Style B. The style B operators compartment shall, as a minimum, be furnished with lockable door(s), heateddefroster, powered front and rear windshield washedwipers, left and

13、 right side rear view mirrors, and tinted safety glass. When specified (see 7.2), an air conditioned cab shall be furnished. Refrigerant with ozone depleting properties shall not be used in the air- conditioning unit. 3.4.2 Transmission. A full power shift torque converter, or direct drive, or hydro

14、static transmission shall be as specified (see 7.2). 3.4.3 Track grouser. A standard track or a wide track grouser shall be as specified (see 7.2). 3.4.4 Hydraulic valves. A 2-spool or a 3-spool hydraulic valve as specified (see 7.2). 3.4.5 Gauges and indicators. Illuminated gauges for fuel tank lev

15、el, engine coolant temperature, engine oil pressure, transmission oil temperature, and warning indicator for alternator low voltage, low transmission oil pressure, and transmission oil filter restriction shall be furnished. An electrical monitor system with audible and visible warnings are acceptabl

16、e in lieu of gauges. 3.4.6 Lights. Two fiont workingdriving lights and one rear working light. 3.4.7 Drawbar. A standard drawbar or hitch point shall be provided when the loader is not furnished with rear mounted allied equipment. 3.4.8 Additional options. Additional options, not included above, sha

17、ll be as specified (see 7.2). 3.5 SDecial requirements. 3.5.1 Lifting and tiedown attachments. The lifting and tiedown attachments shall conform to manufacturer standard or to MIL-STD-209 (type II or type ID) as specified (see 7.2). A nonferrous transportation plate shall be provided and mechanicall

18、y attached to the loader. Transportation plate shall be inscribed with a diagram showing the attachments and lifting slings, the capacity of each attachment, and the required length and size of each sling cable. A silhouette of the item furnished showing the center of gravity shall be provided in th

19、e transportation plate. Tiedown attachments may be identified by stenciling or other suitable marking. Tiedown marking shall clearly indicate that the attachments are intended for the tiedown of the loader on the carrier when shipped. , 3.5.2 Color. The color of finished coat shall be as specified b

The identification plate shall conform to the manufacturers standard plate or to

21、a govemment furnished plate as specified (see 7.2). The contractor shall stamp all necessary data in the blank spaces of the plate provided for that purpose, and securely affixed to each loader in a conspicuous place with nonferrous screws, rivets, or bolts not less than O. 125 inch (3 mm) in diamet

22、er. The applicable nomenclature contained in the current contract item description shall be placed in the top blank. 3.5.4 Identification marking (Allied equipment). Identification on furnished allied equipment shall be permanently marked directly on the equipment or on a corrosion-resisting metal p

23、late. Identification shall include the manufacturers model, serial number, name and trademark. 3.5.5 Warning plate. When the noise level at the operators position exceeds 85 data. a. Title, number, and date of this CID. b. Style, class, and size of loader required (see 2.). c. When environmental con

24、dition is other than as specified (see 3.2.4). d. When a forklift carriage is required (see 3.3.1). e. When a backhoe assembly is required (see 3.3.2). f. When a ripper assembly is required (see 3.3.3). g. When an air conditioned cab is required (see 3.4.1.2). h. When a torque converter, direct driv
