3、se of this commercial item description for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers one technical grade of toluene. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Chemical and physical characteristics. Technical grade toluene shall conform to the chemical and physical characteri

Place 10 milliliters (mL) of the sample in a dry, loosely stoppered test tube (16 by 150 millimeters (mm) and place in a water

8、 bath at 20 C (68 F). On viewing the test tube transversely at the end of 3 minutes, no turbidity should be observed and no free water should appear in the bottom of the tube. 3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Labeling, packaging, and marking. Item shall be labeled, packed, and marked in accordance wit

9、h 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Parts 100 to 199. 3.2 Material safety data sheet (MSDS). A MSDS shall be furnished in accordance with FED-STD-313, “Material Safety Data, Transportation Data and Disposal Data for Hazardous Materials Furnished to Government Activities“, and 29 CFR 1910.1200, “

10、Hazard Communication“. 3.3 Hazard warning label. An Occupational Safety and Health Administration hazard warning label shall be furnished in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1200. 3.4 Recovered materials. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, i

11、n accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Product conformance. The product provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance

12、practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 4.2 Market acceptability. The product offered must have been previously sold either to the government or on the commercial market. 5. PACKAGING 5
