This commercial item description covers a met

2、allic lacing eyeletintended to be used in a variety of military hardware applications.Salient characteristics. The material used for this eyelet shall be brass or steel.The brass shall conform to ASTM B36 or ASTM B121 and the steel shall conform toASTM A366 or ASTM A619. Unless otherwise specified t

3、he finish shall be blackenamel. The physical requirements are as shown in figure 1 and table I.FIGURE 1. The contractor shall certify and maintain objectivequality evidence that the product offered meets this Commercial Item Description, andthat the product conforms to the producers own drawings

7、, specifications, standards,and quality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require proof ofsuch conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise providedfor under the provisions of the contract.Metric products. Products manufactured to metric dimensions w

8、ill beconsidered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units,provided they fall within specified tolerances using conversion tables contained in thelatest revision of ASTM E380, and all other requirements of this Commercial ItemDescription are met. If a product is manufactured t

9、o metric dimensions and thosedimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch/pound units, a request should bemade to the contracting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. Thecontracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product.Regulatory requirements. The offe

10、ror/contractor is encouraged to userecovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extentpractical.Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. The preservation,packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.CID-based part
