SCOPE. This CID covers t

2、he general requirements for connectors, pin, electrical, rectangular, rack and panel, pin protector. Connectors, pin, electrical, rectangular, rack and panel, pin protector covered by this CID are intended for commercial/industrial applications. This pin protector is for MIL-DTL-28748/9 connectors a

3、nd can be used in applications that require an aluminum alloy pin protector. 2. CLASSIFICATION. This CID uses a classification system, which is included in the Part Identification Number (PIN) as shown in the following example (see 7.1). PIN. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS.

6、 3.1 Interface and physical dimensions. Connectors, pin, electrical, rectangular, rack and panel, pin protector supplied to this CID shall be as specified herein see figure 1 and table I. 3.2 Material. Pin protectors are manufactured from an aluminum alloy: A380 in accordance with AMS-QQ-A-591 or AS

7、TM B 85, for durability and strength. Screw, lockwasher, and hex nut are stainless steel 300 series. 3.3 Finish. Pin protectors are anodized “dyed black“ or electroless nickel, see table I. Screw, lockwasher, and hex nut are passivated in accordance with AMS-QQ-P-35. 3.4 Marking. Pin, electrical, re

The offer/contractor is encouraged to use recoverable materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS.

20、5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the right t

21、o require proof of such conformance. 6. PACKAGING. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order. 7. NOTES. 7.1 PIN. The PIN should be used for Government purposes to buy commercial products to this CID. See section 2 for PIN format example. 7.2 Commercial and Gov
