Abstract. This document covers bag, barracks one type and size, with dr

2、awstring closure. a laundry bag to hold the soiled clothing of enlisted men and The barracks bag is intended for use as women. a Salient Characteristics. The bag shall be made of cloth, sateen, cotton, 8.2 oz the color shall be Camouflage Green 483. finished bag shall measure 32 2 3/4 inches in leng

3、th by 24 3/4 2 1/2 inches in width. The construction shall conform to Figure 1, and shall be as specified herein. The thread for all stitching shall be twisted The yarn shall be continuous multifilament size is 70, the thread shall be dyed 3. The thread shall show good color fastne

7、ss Braid, tubular, cotton. The braid shall be 6/32 inch diameter, solid. The cotton used to make the yarn shall be carded, spun, and twisted into ply yarns. The length of the braid shall be 62 2 1/2 inches, two (2) braid are required for the bag. The braid shall be dyed CG 483 and shall show fastnes

8、s to light, laundering (after 3 cycles), crocking, and wet-dry cleaning. The natural finish shall denote a braid for which no consistency or luster other than that inherent in the basic fiber is required. Grommets. The grommets shall be brass and spur washer, and shall conform to type III, Class 3 s

9、ize No. 1 of MIL-G-16491. Markinq. The identification marking shall be applied in the location shown on Figure 1. The letters “US“ shall be applied in the size characters and in the location indicated on the figure and the markings shall have color fastness to laundering. Workmanship. After completi

10、on, the finished bag shall be thoroughly cleaned, and all loose thread, lint, and foreign matter removed. Product Demonstration Model. When required, offerers shall submit samples of their intended production. The Product Demonstration Model will consist of units independently developed. Product Dem

11、onstration Models will be analyzed and evaluated by the government. Evaluation criteria and basis for award are contained in the solicitation. Product Demonstration Models will be retained by the government. One (1) Product Demonstration Model approved by DPSC under the resultant contract will serve

12、 as a manufacturing standard for the corresponding production items delivered under this contract. Offerers are advised that the Product Demonstration Model does not relieve the successful offerer of his responsibility to perform in accordance with the Commercial Item Description specified above. 2

The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for, under the provisions of the contract. Re

16、 Bag Lots shall be inspected in accordance with “Sampling Procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes“, ANSI/ASQC 21.4, published by the American Society for Quality Control. Visual Examination. The bag shall be examined for the defects listed below. The lot size shall be expressed in units o

17、f bags. The sample unit shall be one bag. The inspection level shall be S-3 and the acceptable quality level (AQL), expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 1.0. Visual defects Examination Defect Cloth Hole, cut, or tear; any smash, weak place, broken or missing yarn, multiple float

18、s, or open place, clearly visible. Shade bar, fine or coarse filling bar. Examination: Workmanship Not within industry standards or practices. Grommet * Clinched excessively tight, cutting surrounding material. Insecurely clinched to a degree that grommet may be detached from material. 3 Provided by

Omitted, incorrect, illegible, misplaced or size of characters not as specified. Spots or stains clearly noticeable; thread ends not trimmed to 1/4 inch maximum length.

21、 Dimensional Examination. The finished bag shall conform to the dimensions specified. Any dimension that is not within the established tolerance shall be classified as a defect. The sample unit shall be one bag; the inspection level shall be 5-3 and the AQL, expressed in terms of defects per hundred

22、 units, shall be 1.0. Defects. The bag shall be examined for the following defects: any hole, cut, tear, color not as specified; any or stain (outside); thread ends not removed; label missing, incorrect, or illegible; measurement of item not as specified. Packauinu Examination. The fully packaged sh

23、ipping containers shall be examined in accordance with defects listed below. The lot size shall be the number of shipping containers in the inspection lot. Fifty bags shall be packed in a fiberboard box conforming to style RSC-L, grade 275 of PPP-B-636. The inside dimensions of the box

25、 shall be approximately 24 by 16 by 13 inches. The box shall be closed in accordance with the appendix Of PPP-B-636.
