2、flue gas vent from oil-fired appliances. SCOPE. The flue caps are intended to be used as a chimney outlet component 2. sizes : CLASSIFICATION. The flue caps shall conform to the following class and 2.1 Class Class 1 - Galvanized steel (ASTM A525). Class 2 - Stainless steel (ASTM A167). 2.2 Size Size

3、 A - For 3-inch (76 millimeters (mm) chimney pipe. Size B - For 4-inch (102 mm) chimney pipe. Size C - For 6-inch (152 mm) chimney pipe. Size D - For 8-inch (203 mm) chimney pipe. Size E - For 10-inch (254 mm) chimney pipe. Size F - For 12-inch (305 mm) chimney pipe. 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. The

4、flue caps shall be designed and constructed to conform to Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 103. The thickness of the steel sheet and the shape of the cap shall be in accordance with manufacturers standard practices. Inlet connections shall match and fit the circular chimney pipe openings for the same

5、size as specified herein. 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conforms to the producer s own drawings, specifications , standards, and quality assurance practices, and

If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances spec

11、ified in the inch-pound units, a request should be made to the specification preparing activity for changes to this document. 6. PACKAGING. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be specified in the contract or order. 7. NOTES. 7.1 Part identification number. The following part identification numb
