3、General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers one type of liquid phenolic type disinfectant for use as a general purpose disinfectant to be used to disinfect and deodorize f

4、loors, walls, sinks, shower stalls, urinals, toilet bowls, garbage can platforms, and latrine buckets. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. The phenolic type chemical disinfectant, when used as directed on the label in a use-dilution solution, prepared with hard water containing a minimum of 400 parts per mi

5、llion (ppm) hardness (as calcium carbonate) and 5 percent by volume (v/v) sterile bovine serum albumin (BSA), shall be: Bactericidal against - Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC No. 6538) Salmonella choleraesuis (ATCC No. 10708) Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC No. 15442) Tuberculocidal against - Mycobacterium

The phenolic type chemical disinfectants shall be registered and labeled in compliance with the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), as amended in accordance with 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR),

8、 Parts 162-280. This act, and regulations promulgated there under, is administered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The containers shall be labeled, with contents and directions for use, in accordance with the 40 CFR 156-157. 3.2 Recovered materials. The offeror/contractor is encouraged

9、 to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 3.3 Material safety data sheet (MSDS). A MSDS shall be furnished in accordance with FED-STD-313, “Material Safety Data, Transportation Data and Disposal Dat

10、a for Hazardous Materials Furnished to Government Activities“, and 29 CFR 1910.1200, “Hazard Communication“. 4. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, sta

11、ndards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 4.2 Market acceptability. The products offered must have been previously sold either to the government or on the co

12、mmercial market. 4.3 EPA registration. The offeror shall have a current EPA registration for the product. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Preservation, packing, and marking.
