This document (EN ISO 23125:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 39 “Machine tools”, Subcommittee SC 10, “Safety” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 143, “Machine tools Safety” (Secretariat: SNV

6、, Switzerland). The International Standards produced by ISO/TC 39/SC 10 in collaboration with CEN/TC 143 are particular to machine tools and complement the relevant A and B standards on the subject of general safety (see Introduction to ISO 12100-2010 for a description of type-A, -B and -C standards

7、). This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s). This International Standard describes the current state of technology as regards safety and occupational health

8、in the presence of all turning machines and turning centres for the cold working of metals. It is a type C standard for machines meeting the essential safety and health requirements laid down in Annex I of the Machinery Directive (Directive 2006/42/EC). The responsible German body involved in its pr

9、eparation was the DIN-Normenausschuss Werkzeugmaschinen (DIN Standards Committee Machine Tools), Working Committee NA 122-00-03-01 UA Drehmaschinen Sicherheit. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN ISO 23125:2012-07 as follows: General information: In incorporating the changes contained in IS

10、O 23125:2010/Amd.1:2012 into this DIN ISO Standard, errors have been made as regards internal references starting from Subclause 6.1. Subclause 6.1 was included for the first time in the ISO Standard, and therefore Subclauses 6.2 to 6.2.10 have been renumbered as Subclauses 6.3 to 6.3.10. However, a

11、ccount for these changes has not been made in the ISO Standard because only one Amendment was published. Amendment 1 was incorporated into the German version of this standard and a consolidated version was published in Germany. This meant that the internal references were still made to the old subcl

12、auses 6.2 to 6.2.10 and were thus false. To correct these errors, ISO published this “minor revision“ and a consolidated version was also published for the ISO Standard, so that there were no longer any differences between the language versions. As part of the minor revision, ISO/CS made a few edito

13、rial changes in Clause 3 “Terms and definitions”, which led to a change in the clause numbering. These changes have been taken over in the German version. DIN EN ISO 23125:2015-04 3 In addition, the following changes have been made: a) Clause 2: “Normative references” normative references have been

14、updated. Wherever possible, EN Standards have been replaced by the corresponding ISO Standards. To avoid misinterpretations on the part of German users, references to EN 954-1:1996 and ISO 13849-1:2006 are given as dated references throughout the document. b) Subclause 5.11: “Specific requirements r

15、esulting from failure of the control circuit hazards” Item b): The wording has been improved so that it is clear how the manufacturer is to proceed when applying EN 954-1:1996 or ISO 13849-1:2006 as regards each safety function. c) Subclause 6.1 has been deleted (see “General information”). 40、he Essential Safety Requirements of the Machinery Directive of the European Union and associated EFTA regulations.This International Standard is a type-C standard as defined in ISO 12100:2010.The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered is indi

41、cated in the Scope of this International Standard. In addition, turning machines shall comply as appropriate with ISO 12100:2010 for hazards which are not covered by this International Standard.When provisions of this type-C standard are different from those which are stated in type-A or -B standard

42、s, the provisions of this type-C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other International Standards for machines that have been designed and built in accordance with the provisions of this type-C standard.This International Standard makes reference to the “safety categories” in EN 954

43、-1:1996 as resistance to faults and their subsequent behaviour in the fault condition together with the “performance level” defined in ISO 13849-1:2006 in terms of probability of dangerous failure per hour. It is the decision of the user of this International Standard to apply “safety categories” or

44、 “performance levels”.The requirements of this International Standard concern designers, manufacturers, suppliers and importers of machines described in the Scope.This International Standard also includes a list of informative items to be provided by the manufacturer to the user.The requirements for

45、 a new mode of operation, Mode 3 “manual intervention machining mode” will be discussed in the future.5EN ISO 23125:2015 (E) DIN EN ISO 23125:2015-04 1 ScopeThis International Standard specifies the requirements and/or measures to eliminate the hazards or reduce the risks in the following groups of

46、turning machines and turning centres, which are designed primarily to shape metal by cutting. Group 1: Manually controlled turning machines without numerical control. Group 2: Manually controlled turning machines with limited numerically controlled capability. Group 3: Numerically controlled turning

47、 machines and turning centres. Group 4: Single- or multi-spindle automatic turning machines.NOTE 1 For detailed information on the machine groups, see the definitions in 3.4 and mandatory and optional modes of operation in 3.3.NOTE 2 Requirements in this International Standard are, in general, appli

48、cable to all groups of turning machines. If requirements are applicable to some special group(s) of turning machines only, then the special group(s) of turning machine(s) is/are specified.NOTE 3 Hazards arising from other metalworking processes (e.g. grinding and laser processing) are covered by oth
